In VC7.1, where is the project template to create a standard native C++
project?? I don't want MFC, I don't want Win32, I just want a nice basic
standards compliant C++ dll.
The best I seem to be able to do at the moment is create a managed dll and
go through all the options changing them.
Any offers?

I downloaded some code from www.logix4u.net that gives easy access to the parallel port while using windows XP. The example that came with the code was for vc++ 6.0 and included an entire project. My compiler is vc++7.0 and it had to convert the project and then I was able to successfully compile and test the code which worked fine. HOWEVER..... ever since compiling and running this code, every new project that I create using the win32 console...

Why is the Windows Service project template in Visual Studio 2003 but absent

Hi Moondaddy,
I downloaded your sample project and run it on my machine. I did see the
problem on my side. The image drawn in the Button is not as clear as that
one drawn in the Image control.
After doing some research, I found that this is a WPF layout problem.
When we place a control into a parent control, if the child control's Width

I have a wpf app and need to apply a control template to a thumb at runtime,
but I can't do it the same way I would apply a style. this is what I want
to do:
Thumb thm = new Thumb();
thm.Template = TryFindResource("myThumbTemplate") as Template;
but of course, this doesn't work.
Any advise?
