Hi all,
Having a bit of a strange one here! We've just moved house and I've set up our home network exactly the same as it was before - my PC connected to the net and my wife's PC networked to mine and sharing my internet connection.
Everything works exactly the same (no reason it shouldn't) except that now when I shut down my PC, my wife's will startup automatically. Huh!!??
Both PCs are clean as a whistle with regard to viruses, spyware, etc, and I've not changed any settings or connections - just transported them from one house to another!
Anyone got any ideas?

I wish the answer was as easy as that! I built both PCs around Gigabyte motherboards and am using the LAN ports on the motherboards - not on a separate LAN card. Anyway, as I said, this has just instantly started happening since moving house - no settings have been changed nor has there been any hardware change at all - the network's just in a different house!
Security wise, my PCs are tighter than a gnat's arse, so I know it's not that ;-)
I was just kinda hoping somebody had come across this one before. I'll get round to setting up a wireless network one of these days anyway, but don't see much point since both PCs sit in the study 1m away from each other and the phone line!!

Refer to your bios settings, there should be an option called wake on lan, disable it. Good Luck.
Thanks Cyberdyne - that wasn't it, but you did get me thinking in the right direction!
In the hardware properties for the onboard LAN, there was a setting called 'Enable PME' which I now know stands for Power Management Event. I disabled that and it seems to have done the trick!
What still gets me is why it never did it before, then only started when I moved house? Never mind - I don't care really as it's not doing it anymore :-)

I have a test environment that we rebuild servers on a regular basis.
To streamline the process we use ghost. We will be installing SQL on

tested it by doing the build, loading the data, and then stopping all
the services and setting them to manual. After we Ghost the machine,

When the application I'm working on is run it creates a panel with a Paint

Does anyone else get "ghost" VB editor windows appear on their computers
when developing in Access 2003?
These are VB editor windows with no menu items and a grey empty
background. I usually get them when I contact my work computer through
a remote desktop connectio from home and have multiple ghost windows
appear. However, I did just come back to my PC after a work break and
there was one with "Utility" in the title bar.

It was my expectation that a sub using the usual recursive
