I have a page with images that the user can drag from one frame to
another. I need them to see a "ghost image" of the image they are
dragging, while the original stays put. I use the onmousemove event
to keep the ghost image under the mouse pointer. There are three
problems:
(1) if the ghost image is dragged so it is partially off the...

Trying to get some ideas on a simple javascript project (to teach myself the
language).
I want to develop a client-side vocabulary practice application that would
allow users to
enter their own words, their own definitions plus an example of how the word
is
used in practice. It'll be all client side with - cookies? to get
persistence so...

I have been using a label with the TreeView control - to
simulate the ghost image of a node during drag/drop (so
that a ghost of the node appears to be floating next to
the cursor on a drag/drop).
This works peachy when I had a form that used the TreeView
control (from Microsoft).
The time came that I needed to change the TreeView - so I...

Hi,
I use DHTML browser as my main application window and I create elements like
<p>, <table>, <img> etc dynamically using MSHTML C++ interfaces like
IHTMLDocument2::createElement
IHTMLDOMNode::insertBefore
and these elements appear in the browser after creation and insertion into
the DOM.
The problem is that if I create an element, say...

When the application I'm working on is run it creates a panel with a Paint
event customized to draw primitives (circles, rectangles, etc.), places the
panel on a form, and then launches the form.
The weird part is, the panel, in the instant it becomes visible, seems to
have an image of what this panel had in it the LAST TIME THE APPLICATION...

Does anyone else get "ghost" VB editor windows appear on their computers
when developing in Access 2003?
These are VB editor windows with no menu items and a grey empty
background. I usually get them when I contact my work computer through
a remote desktop connectio from home and have multiple ghost windows
appear. However, I did just...

I do not have a link to point you to at this time, sorry. It's an
internal application.
I have some JS code that hides the current div, sets the tabnumber
passed in as the current tab number, then shows that tab. As I switch
between different tab groups, I hide the current tab and then send the
first tab of the new group to the show tab...

(originally mis-posted on m.p.s.jscript...)
I've just closed all windows in Firefox and its using 244MB of memory.
I have no idea why. I had GMail open, a page from unicode, the CLJ FAQ.
I've noticed that createElement leaks. It's obvious with form controls
because the form keeps the control name as a property.
Example:

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in...
