Where's the Scrolling Text Control in MS Access 2003?

176 New Member
I've found out in Access's help that there is a Scrolling Text Control in the toolboox. I don't find it in my Access though.

Strange huh?

Does anyone uses it?

Thanks for help.

I have a <select> control that contains many entries. It allows the user to multi-select a group of them, click a button, and store the selected data in a database. Normally they do this starting at the top of the list moving down towards the bottom. The problem I was having was that the <select> control was scrolling back to the top of the page after the postback and the user would lose their place in the <select> control forcing them to...

Threads, textboxes and scrolling Thanks in advance for any information on this matter. I have run into a small richtextbox, scrolling and tread issue. Which has me totally confused. Instead of trying to explain it I wrote some small C# code to demonstrate the fact that in the threaded version the textbox simple doesn't scroll like it should… please look to the startButton_Click method for the distinction between the two programs..

I just noticed that control tips aren't working in any of my databases. I recently installed Access 2003, and created a database in it, and noticed that control tips weren't working in my controls. I was using control tips with command buttons in the form header. But they also didn't work with the command buttons in the detail section, nor with text boxes in the detail section. I tried converting the file back to Access 2000 format, but...

Hello, I did some first steps in programming a site for a friend and have some questions concerning web design. The site is http://www.stevanez-juls.de: 1. On my tft display (with low brightness adjustment) the site is correctly bright but on some other monitors it's very dark, does somebody know why? 2. Does somebody know why scrolling the white text on black background is deforming the text? If I change the background to a brighter...

I need to implement a rich text box in an MDB file for a user base that consists of Access 2000 and Access 2002. Unfortunately, I'm using Access 2003 on my development machine. My understanding is that because of security issues, the Microsoft Rich Textbox Control doesn't work in Access 2003. Thus, I'm left with 3 options: 1) Downgrade my development machine to Access 2002 (if I could even find a copy somewhere). 2) Upgrade all...

I have an Access database frontend linked via ODBC to a large (gigabytes) mysql database. I need to view a large amount of data in a a textbox (variable up to 300K), but I receive a 'there isnt enough memory' error whenever I scroll past N number of bytes in a textbox that has been filled with a lot of data. I am not sure what N is, but for a large chunk of data it occurs at about the halfway scroll, and smaller chunks might not throw...

Hi All, I've noticed that in a lot of my forms and tables, when I'm on continuous view, I can't scroll when the focus is in a field or on a control. Meaning, if I have a list, and start scrolling, it always jumps back to the focus the second the scrolling is done. While I like this in some cases, it can get to be annoying. I try to

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
