Hi,
I have a document with an iframe. The main doc has a "Print" button. The
idea is that when the user clicks it, the contents of the iframe is printed.
For some reason instead of the iframe I get a print out of the whole page.
I am using IE6. I spent several hours searching the groups but didn't find
anything that works. Even when I do this:
iframe_name.focus();
window.print();

I know HTML was never designed to be WYSIWYG, but with CSS, there is
much greater control over coordinates and dimensions. So I would
expect that a specific piece of text, with a specific font, style, and
size specified in pixels, typeset into a box with a width specified
in pixels, should be identical in both screen and print versions.
This is not the case at least with Internet Explorer 6.
Below is a sample (a pathological case, but...

I read the faq, and it mentions that IE 4 on windows requires setting a
printing option to allow background colors to be printed.
Things change, life goes on, other browsers come into existence....
So, is there a way in CSS to say "Yeah, print these background colors",
without the user having to turn on an option that will then apply to all
pages printed?
Thanks,

If I look at the properties of a printer I can find two things:
Printing Preferences and Printing Defaults.
I believe the preferences apply to my apps and the defaults apply to all
users.
In a dotnet app:
Which does the DefaultPageSetting relate to?

Hi,
Can I set up Internet Explorer printing preferences programmatically?
I need to get rid of header and footer.
I know I can change the printing settings manually, but this would not be
user friendly.
I am controlling the printing layout using CSS, but I could not find
anything for specifying header/footer preferences.

I have a large application; lots of forms, multiple dynamic DLLs, etc. I
also have, in the appliation, a general 'Preferences' class object (which is
in itself a separate DLL, and I just include a reference to it so I can
instantiate it at the beginning) which stores all my user preferences. I
serialize the data to and from an XML file, thereby saving and restoring the
user preferences with ease. I also have a Preferences form that the user...

I'm not sure if this is a javascript or a CSS issue... I'm looking for
a way to force the printing of a background image when a page is
printed.
I'm dealing with a couple of large corporate policy manuals. Some of
the material is archived. The archived pages have watermarks to
visually identify them as outdated material. However, if the user has
printing of background images turned off, how can I override this?
This is also a...

I have set up a custom paper size on a Windows XP SP2 machine. I have followed all of the directions that I can find. It does appear in the print server properties, but when I go to the advanced printing preferences, and click on the dropdown for the paper size, it does not appear.
I have tried virtually everything I can think of, and have already read. Please help!

Re: Access 2003
My client has a printer that can print single-sided or double-sided.
The default settings for this printer in Windows is double-sided
printing for the bulk of their work.
Their Access app has two reports, and they want Report1 to always
print single-sided and they want Report2 to always print double-sided.
I checked the preferences in "Page Setup" for each independent report

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
