I read the faq, and it mentions that IE 4 on windows requires setting a
printing option to allow background colors to be printed.
Things change, life goes on, other browsers come into existence....
So, is there a way in CSS to say "Yeah, print these background colors",
without the user having to turn on an option that will then apply to all
pages printed?

My Windows forms app generates HTML via a server-side XSL
transformation of XML out of a SQL server stored procedure. I'm
emedding the HTMLEditor control from
http://www.itwriting.com/htmleditor/index.php, and using a custom
print template.
The app by the way is for a homogenous intranet environment, printing
to a variety of different printers.
Generally this works tolerably, although it is pretty hard work

What is the best way to force a page break when printing from a browser?
A page in my application generates a series of tables which are usually less
than will fit on a page of A4. Ideally I want to introduce a page break
between each table when printing.
I'm not sure what options I have available. I know there is some support in
CSS but I'm no sure on the details or effectiveness.

We have the following in our stylesheet, which acts as a page header:
#homepageheader { left: 0px; top: 0px; right: 0px; height: 183px;
background-image: url(graphics/header-salmoninbucket.jpg);
background-repeat: no-repeat; background-color: #B6C7B6; }
When you print, however, this doesn't appear.

Ive created a aspx form using tables and flowlayout, I've set the background
colour on certain
rows, which show great in the browser, however when i use print preview the
colours
have dissapeared,

Hi,
I hope somebody can help me here, I already tried to figure it out a
long time but I am not a stylesheet pro.
I want to print the blog at http://travelingcalifornia.blogspot.com/ as
a chrismas present for friends. Unfortunately if I click on print only
the first page is printed right (with print backgrounds true), for the
others the background is not repeating (look at the print preview).
It's the same for IE and Firefox.

A customer is reporting that all reports are printing with a greeny
background. When previewed they have what looks like a light-grey
background.
I can see this as they are not local. They say other things like Word
documents print fine, only the Access reports are doing this.
They print fine on my system. They all are formatted for white backgrounds.
