I just searched my local library's website and they have a book with it in
it.

Thanks anyway guys.

I want to learn C# and get upto speed with VB.Net but didn't want to run out
and buy C# right away, wanted VB.NET right away because I know I will use
it.

C# I want to learn it before I determine if it is worth while to buy it.

I'd like to purchase Visual C# .Net for learning purposes only since it's a lot cheaper than Visual Studio (note that I'm a very experienced C++ developer). Can someone simply clarify the basic differences. Ok, Visual Studio has C++, VB and J++ thrown in plus some extra bells and whistles (I already have some minimal experience) but are both IDE's essentially the same (including the same IDE support for creating forms, ADO.NET DataSets,...

Hey, I'm a student from Belgium, and on my stage we have to work with SQL Reporting Services. One of the requirements is Visual Studio .net. So we ordered the trail version a week ago and installed it on our computers (2). Then we found out that Reporting Services didn't work on our OS. So we installed it on a Windows 2003 server. One day later the guys from the IT called our server back because they gave us the wrong laptop, the one we...

I have a simple question...Is the visual studio 2005 trial edition that may be ordered (that is currently on backorder) simply the beta 2 release? Or is there any other changes that were made. The reason that I ask is that all of the order confirmations state "beta 2" and "visual 2005 trial edition" within the same respective email. Thanks, Tim

Hello, I'm having some problems installing Visual Studio 2005. I'll briefly explain what's the history of the problem here. First I installed VS 2005 beta 2. I uninstalled it later via the Windows Uninstall Tool you can download. Then I installed Visual Studio 2005 Team Edition ENU. This was a trial version for 180 days.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
