Visual Studio . net trial installed on max pc's

Hey,

I'm a student from Belgium, and on my stage we have to work with SQL
Reporting Services. One of the requirements is Visual Studio .net. So we
ordered the trail version a week ago and installed it on our computers (2).
Then we found out that Reporting Services didn't work on our OS. So we
installed it on a Windows 2003 server. One day later the guys from the IT
called our server back because they gave us the wrong laptop, the one we used
was for other testing purposes. So we had installed .net 3 times without
using it. Now we have a new laptop that we can use for our test with
reporting services but when we try to activate Visual Studio .net we get the
warning: "According to our records, this copy of Visual Studio .net Trail
2003 - English has already been activated on the maximum number of computers
allowed."

Now is my question: Is there a possibility to activate it on our new server?
We don't need the versions on the other pc's, so we can deactivate them if
necessary. We still have a trial period of around 50 days I think. What can
we do to use VS .net?

Stef,

I had a computer crash after installing and using a trial version as well.
I found Microsoft support to be very willing to assist me. I had purchased
one of the MSPress books that came with trial software. Shortly after
installing the trial software my computer crashed. After explaining the
situation, they were kind enough to ship me another version (would probably
do download as well).

You may also want to consider the express versions which are free, but I
don't know if they support reporting services off the top of my head.

Hi all, I'm afraid this is the second posting of this information as I didn't get a response on the previous post. I will try to shorten my message (i.e. be more concise) in the hopes that it will make it easier for someone (i.e. a Microsoft person) to digest the information and respond to it. I am a C++ and Java developer with over 3 years of industry experience. I've written low level C++ code, in addition to web clients that use web...

Hello, I'm having some problems installing Visual Studio 2005. I'll briefly explain what's the history of the problem here. First I installed VS 2005 beta 2. I uninstalled it later via the Windows Uninstall Tool you can download. Then I installed Visual Studio 2005 Team Edition ENU. This was a trial version for 180 days.

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
