Grail not downloading

Does anybody know anything about Grail? I've been unable to get at
it, and I've tried on both Windows and Macintosh machines.

The files just don't exist, physically, on the server (if you have
an SF account, you can check this yourself). However, it appears
that the source code is still available through CVS:

I appreciate the info. I couldn't exactly attempt to download the files
manually, though. ;)

Only marginally belonging in this newsgroup... but oh well. I've just started writing in python, and I want to make the files available on the web. So I did the standard <a href="mypath/myfile.py"> and not surprisingly, it displays like a webpage, but just the code. If I gzip it, and then link to the new file, it will download, but its so small I don't want it zipped. How can I make this into a downloadable file SIMPLY? The other...

I've been looking for a Tk widget to render basic HTML (as a simple way of building formatted text documents)...... Short of implementing a parser myself that would only ever cover a very small subset of HTML I wondered if it would be possible to resurrect part of the grail project for the job. (I don't want to switch over to wx just yet before anyone suggests it). I think viewer.py is where I need to be looking - when I try to just...

Dear Sirs, Is there a way to get the width and height of an image without downloading the image, or with just downloading a minimal portion of the image? For instance, I have a list of 10,000 image urls, and I would like to get the width and height of every image without spending the time and bandwidth of downloading every image.

Hi, My dot net client downloads files and checks for any new files time to time. The server is apache2.0.53 server. So what happens is that my file download thing works fine if I dont try to call any page from the server while downloading. If I try to call a single page while downloading a file then the page request goes time out and the server then closes the existing download stream and the client doestn't throw any exception. So many a...

I am having problem while downloading files from an apache server2.0.53 with php4.3.10.While downloading some files it generally stops after downloading some specific amount and then stops downloading with the error message: "the source file could not be read". And the error is not dependent on the size of the file, as I can download a file of 6MB but having problem with a file with 652KB. It always stops after 666880bytes. Thanks.

Does anybody know where I can download a WORKING version of the Grail web browser? The one at http://grail.sourceforge.com/ has so many errors and exceptions in it that I cannot possibly fix them all (although I managed to fix two of them; I was able to fix just enough so that it was able to display text files and very simple HTML files, instead of crashing before showing the window). My operating system is windows, and I am using Python 2.4...

Hi Spent the past week looking at CSS renderings of "liquid" 3-column pages (with both Header and Footer that can also grow). On testing, none of them seem fully cross-browser campatible. In almost all of them, the left column seems fixed. Page doesn't grow when content added to header. When it does, the header overlaps the top of the columns.

Looking at various Holy Grail techniques for html layouts, I came across Faux Positioning Layout. What I'm curious about is the differences between the two. I have no understanding of the Holy Grail, but have a working implementation of Faux Positioning (which may be a bit harder to do than the Holy Grail). Both are compatible among various browsers, but are they really both the same thing? They both have negative margin-left css values,...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
