PHPMYADMIN -INternet Explorer unable to access

P: 2
Hi all, newbie here so be gentle :-)

I just installed PHPMYADMIN V3.0.0 and (after a lot of struggle with mysql extensions) finally got it running with Apache 2.2.4 & PHP 5.2.3

The problem i have is this:

PHPMYADMIN & the Database are installed on my local machine and for the most part work ok, except when i click to view certain tables within a database i get the following error:

Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet Site
http://localhost/phpMyadmin/index.php?db=mysql&token=b05837d7832593c4ab719cda7 e2bda8a

I dont have controluser enabled in the config file as the setup instructions i followed didnt mention to do so, just set authorisation 'config' to 'cookie'

Could this be the reason ?, any help gratefully received.

Hi Graham.

Have you tried this in any decent browser, like Firefox for example?
Internet Explorer is flawed (putting it mildly) and you should never assume anything is broken until you rule out that IE is simply not using it correctly.

For example, the control panel to my router requires a login. Works fine in all browsers except IE, where it won't authenticate even tho I know I am passing the correct info. This might be something similar.

Hi Atli, yes thanks i will give that a go, i do have Firefox installed its just it fires up IE by default from within PHPMYADMIN. I assume its just a case of changing the default browser. It has to be something stupid like that as it seems intermittent, works ok once or twice and then starts playing up .
