newbie question: how to create a "page last updated on xx/xx/xx" timestamp

14 New Member
Is there a script I can include on the bottom of each page to indicate when the page was last updated? The PHP timstamp thing doesn't seem to work as it reflects the date of visit on the user's part. Thanks:D

If I submit my for using a get action the resulting page loads . If I use a post action I get an error page saying "The page cannot be found". I am calling the originating page!!! This happens in IE as well as FireFox. This code has been tested on a Win2003 server, IIS6, PHP 5.0.3, mySQL 4.1.8 and it works fine. The problem server is a Win2k server, IIS5, PHP 5.0.4, mySQL 4.1.11.

Hi, Need to run a script "last updated on" on a personal Website. Problem is the ones I can find rely on my servers synchronised time! This is one hour behind the correct time (Summertime) at my location. Anyone know of a script that can be modified so that the correct local time is displayed? TIA --

I'd like to make the following proposal for a new feature for the C# language. I have no connection with the C# team at Microsoft. I'm posting it here to gather input to refine it, in an "open Source" manner, and in an attempt to build a ground-swell of support to convince the folks at Microsoft to add it. Proposal: "first:" "last:" sections in a "foreach" block The problem: The foreach statement allows iterating over all the...

This is causing me to not be able to create a relation in my dataset. Here's my code: dc1 = ds.Tables .Columns ; dc2 = ds.Tables .Columns ; dr1 = new System.Data.DataRelation ("categories2subcategories", dc1, dc2); ds.Relations.Add (dr1); dc1 always works fine. dc2 always returns null. There ARE records in

Another CSS newbie question: What would be the best / most-correct-according-to-standards way to get the two photos on http://www.xmission.com/~wake/test.html to set just at the left and right edges of the white "page" so that the fingers overlap the "page?" (They're just test photos at the moment; if I do this for real I'll use better ones.)

I just started working with Microsoft Access so I dont know much and Im trying to create a field that updates itself after changes have been made to the data in a table. I would like one that says who did it and at what time it was done. Assume that I dont know anything. I have tried following this discussion (http://www.thescripts.com/forum/thread635040.html) but I cant get it to work, their explanations are very vague and I dont know much.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
