I get a "Could Not Find Installable ISAM" error on my objConn.open()
statement. I suspect my connection string is bad. What I am trying to do is
write to an Excel file on my local computer from a aspx page on my web
server.
Where you see "MyComputerName" in the connection string I actually have the
name of my computer.
Dim objConn As New
System.Data.OleDb.OleDbConnection("server=MyComputerName;Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data...

Hey guys
I have this page that uses a small script that changes the button image
when the button is clicked. The problem is that when clicked, the page
suddenly "jumps" to the top. I have purposly left dead links in the page
(the ones that "point" to the page the viewer is currently on). Is there
a way to stop this behaviour? Also, I have created a remote rollover
effect so that when the cursor is over a button, an image in another...

In an "Abandon Changes" button on my UserPreferences.aspx form, I'd like to
redirect back to the page the user was on before coming to the
UserPreferences form. It could be any one of my web app's pages with a link
to the UserPreferences page in its topmenu. (I'm testing for stale session
tokens and can prevent users from bookmarking the page.) However, in
codebehind for the AbandonChanges click event, the REFERRER is the
UserPreferences...

I'm not sure if this can even be done, but what prompts the question
is my desire to be able to create an "Uber Link" script/code of some
sort, such that even if the html page contains nothing but a
background image -or- a background color -- in other words, the page
has neither content nor placed images -- any click, ANYWHERE, will
launch the URL in your browser.
I realize I can make traditional text links and graphics links; what
I'm...

I've read the page life cycle thing in msdn, still, i'm getting a bit
confused of thinking how all the things are going under the hood...
I know that when page loading, that the controls' properties is
populated and when page unloading, the resources are cleared.
What I want to know is what's happening behind it, that is, from the
perspective of the asp.net implementor.....I'm not sure whether i've
stated clearly, hope you get it.

"bad page", especially in table, is a risk for database maintenance.
The particular access
attempt for corrupt blocks may not occur often, and corrupt DB2 blocks
are not recognized during a database backup, corrupt blocks can remain
undetected in an UDB system for a long time.
The potential solution is:
1) Restore from a GOOD backup and rollforward (Recommended). The
problem is backup normally is kept for 30 days so we must find the...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
