Position or Float to Get Photos Just Off the "Page?"

Another CSS newbie question:
What would be the best / most-correct-according-to-standards way to get the two
photos on
http://www.xmission.com/~wake/test.html
to set just at the left and right edges of the white "page" so that the fingers
overlap the "page?" (They're just test photos at the moment; if I do this for
real I'll use better ones.)

Float them left/right, and give them negative left/right margins.
You need to place them inside #sheet though, else the fingers won't
overlap the page.

Hi All, Given the following XML, I've been trying to figure out what XPATH expression will give me the "position" of a <lineitem> within the <shipto> that is its grandparent. To give you an idea of what I'm trying to do...I'm transforming this XML into XSL-FO; which I will process with FOP to produce a PDF file. Each <shipto> element with the XML correlates to a new "section"

Hi All, I am writing a .NET app that accesses an access View. The view has a table column called 'Position'. When i try and right an UpdateCommand string for this using this column I am greeted with a 'Syntax error in Update statement.' when attempting the update. I take that field out and the update works. I am assuming Position is a reserved word. I have even tried changing the name of the column in the View to something other...

I'm investigating a puzzling problem involving an attempt to generate a constant containing an (IEEE 754) "infinity" value. (I understand that special float values are a "platform-dependent accident" etc...) The issue appears possibly to point to a bug in the Python compiler, with it producing inconsistent results. I'm using "Python 2.4.2 (#67, Sep 28 2005, 12:41:11) on win32". This code sometimes produces a float of 1.0, sometimes...

As far as I know floating point variables, that are declared as float follow IEEE format representation (which is 32-bit in size). But chapter1-page no 9 of the book "The C programming language" states that "THE RANGE OF BOTH int AND float DEPENDS ON THE MACHINE YOU ARE USING". Does this mean "float" variables have different sizes on different machines?

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
