[Debian PHP 5 install]problem loading ming.so

Hi,

I just apt-get installed php5 and many libs, including php5-ming.
When I try:
"#php5 -v"
I get the error:
"Unable to load ..ming.so"
But I checked, it sits right there where php5 complains it can't find
it.
I have 1giga RAM and 2 gigas of swap, so it should not be lack of
memory.
I installed php4 and it runs. I was fooled by the Debian debs site, I
thought they had php5.
Do you think I should try "apt-get remove php4?"

Many thanks
Ars Longa, Vita Brevis

I have an install problem on IIS that has me stumped. PHP appears to be installed properly, and is listed as a filetype in IIS, pointing to the PHP script processor. However, when I try to load a page called "test.php", I get a "page not found" response. The file contains only HTML, no PHP. I duplicated the file as "test.junk", and IIS reads and processes the file, as HTML, with no problem. IIS can also open .html and .aspx

Hi, what version of python are you using? I got the same error when invoking a customized, 2-year-old version of distutils with python 2.3.3 (instead of 1.5.2, as before). Reason is code in dist.py, using dir() to look up the attributes of a class instance. But dir() nowadays also returns the class methods, __doc__ etc. Changing this in the old distutils/dist.py made it work for me, again (line

On the main setup screen, click Step 3. —or— Insert your MSDN CD and...

Can anyone help me with a DB2 Connect install problem? I had v8.1 installed on a AIX server successfully a year ago. We decided to re-install it (long story). We used SMITTY to deinstall all DB2 stuff. We deleted our DB2 directories and we *tried* to stop all DB2 processes. When I do the install - it seems to work - but I do not get a new SQLLIB dir and I can see the following error - DBI1122E - instance db2inst1 cannot be updated. So - it...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
