Please help! Very strange installation problem.
First, let me say I successfully installed and use Python 2.2.3 and 2.3
from the EXE binaries on a win ME machine. That machine previously had
1.5.2, and now I have access to all 3 versions. When I tried to do the
same on an older machine, however, running Win98 SE (and having had
Python 1.5.2 previously installed there), the installation doesn't work:
Obvious problems:
* IDLE...

I have just run into a problem where I have a page that posts back to
itself to execute code, except when the page does the post back it
somehow executes code that is in our home page for the site. The only
reason I know that is happening is because I keep track of the pages
executed by the user to see how they have traversed the site. Has anyone
every seen anything like this before?
Regards,

Hi Everybody,
I've upgraded the dot net framework from 1.0 to 1.1 onto the server and
everything seemed fine when it comes to sending attachments etc . However
just recently all emails that has attachments would not send properly. What I
mean is that the attachments are there but its only (64B) and will not open.
Also I have also created an application which simply sends out emails with
attachments and is coming up with the same problem....

I'm having a problem with my installers failing when I try to install to a
secure Windows server (SSL enabled in IIS). I have an installer for a .NET
Web Service and a .NET Web Application. They install fine when installing
to a non-secure server. The installer is using the standard dialogs from
the deployment project. When prompted on the Installation Address dialog
for Virtual Directory and Port, you give it, e.g., virt_dir and 443 and...

I'm trying to pass a custom object back and forth between forms.
This custom object is pulled into the app using an external reference
to an assembly DLL that was given to me by a co-worker. A query-string
flag is used to indicate to the page whether it should instantiate
a new instance of the object or access an existing instance from
the calling page.
On the both pages I have a property of the page which is an
instance of this custom...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
