Add a "Yes/No" dialog

I am using Visual C++ 8.0 Express Edition.

On certain events I would like to pop up the standard "Yes/No" dialog -- is
this possible and, if so, how is this done?

It is possible, but the exact method depends on whether you're writing
a native or a managed application. For a native application, you'd use
MessageBox() WinAPI function with flag MB_YESNO. For a managed Windows
Forms application, you'd use System::Windows ::Forms::Messag eBox class,
and specifically, its Show() method with MessageBoxButto ns.YesNo
argument. WPF has a MessageBox class as well, which probably has very
similar API - can't recall the specifics at the moment.

I want to prompt the user to confirm a delete, however, I am paranoid that they may accidentally hit enter key and delete. (you know how data enters will just cruise through messages) Anyway.... any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to have to use the "response" function instead. Jeremy

I would like to place a Find button on a form which uses the built-in Access Find facility. If no records are found, I would like to display a custom "no records found - plesae try again" message which overrides the standard Access dialog. I do know how to turn Warnings on and off, just not how to code for a "No Records Found" on a button, as opposed to the Open Event of a Form. Thanks!

Hi, One of the people here at work has designed a database that students will be using to enter data. She has Yes/No selection buttons, which start out grayed out with no value. If a student selects the Yes or No in error, is there any simple way to allow for the boxes to be unchecked again to "no selection"? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, Dan M.

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
