Hi,
One of the people here at work has designed a database that students
will be using to enter data. She has Yes/No selection buttons, which
start out grayed out with no value. If a student selects the Yes or
No in error, is there any simple way to allow for the boxes to be
unchecked again to "no selection"? Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dan M. 1 1919
If the check box is unbound, you can:
a) Set its TripleState property to Yes. Now when you click the box, it will
cycle through yes, no, and null.
b) Programmaticall y assign Null to the check box, e.g.:
Me.[NameOfYourCheck BoxHere] = Null

As far as I know python's threading module models after Java's.
However, I can't find something equivalent to Java's interrupt and
isInterrupted methods, along with InterruptedException.
"somethread.interrupt()" will wake somethread up when it's in
sleeping/waiting state.
Is there any way of doing this with python's thread? I suppose thread
interrupt is a very primitive functionality for stopping a blocked
thread.

I'm having trouble finding the character entity for the French
abbreviation for "number" (capital N followed by a small supercript
o, period).
My references are not listing it. Where would I find an answer to this
question (don't find it in the W3C_char_entities document).

I want an element that must have either attribute A or B.
<Thing1 A="aaa"/> <Thing1 B="bbb"/>
I want to enforce this in my schema . If A and B were
elements, I could use choice.

Hi all, I have searched the group with no answer to this particular
problem.
In my sendmail program, I would like to have the ability to send a mail
message with no-one email address in the To field.
I do this by adding the mail to the CC field via a header. However, by
the time I get to the point of sending the mail, my recipient list is
now empty, so I get the "SMTPRecipientsRefused" error.

Here's a puzzle I can't figure out.
I visited the page http://validator.w3.org, and confirmed that it
validates itself.
Then I *saved* it to my docroot directory using my browser's save-as
function, and then tried to submit this saved page for validation.
Now it generates 17 errors, of the form:
end tag for "link" omitted, but OMITTAG NO was specified.

I've been doing a lot of searching on the topic of one of Python's more
disturbing issues (at least to me): the fact that if a __del__ finalizer
is defined and a cyclic (circular) reference is made, the garbage
collector cannot clean it up.
First of all, it seems that it's best to avoid using __del__. So far, I
have never used it in my Python programming. So I am safe there. Or am
I? Also, to my knowledge, I have never created a...

Do not take anything about this, it is not a flame or troll, while I'm not
new to Java I favor C++. However, I may need to use it in a contract
position, and am concerned that the restrictions it places on application
code.
Take, for instance, this C++ construct:
class foo
{
char *m_name;

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...
