Which version of VS 2005 should I upgrade to?

I am using Visual Studio 2003 Enterprise Edition. Now that VS 2008 is out in
beta, I figure 2005 is stable enough for us. :-) Which version of Visual
Studio 2005 is the logical upgrade path for us?

Thanx,

Most (but admitedly not all) impressions that I have heard suggest that 2008
is MORE stable than 2005.

I myself have already moved to 2008 and am very happy with it.

In either case the answer is Express if your budget is very tight and Professional
otherwise.

I have no impression of Team system other than it is way way out of my price
range :)

Which should rule out VS2005 as it is the first version of .Net to target
CLR2.0 ;-)

Or is it that you don't use anything that hasn't had a service pack?

We've been using VS2008 since it was released, and find it to be more stable
than VS2008 as well.

I am thinking of buying a copy of VB but which one. The MS site does not help. The newer versions look like VB2005 and VBNet. But they look like they maybe the same thing but with a different name. Is VB2005 only available in Beta? I tried to find a place on MS site to buy and I kept getting VB2003 NET or some thing like that. So I would appreicate some input from the people that are using VB.

Your upgrade is blocked because the existing component is a later version than the version you are trying to upgrade to. To modify an existing SQL Server component, go to Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel, select the component you would like to modify, and then click Change/Remove. This is in regards to installing advanced services for SQL Server 2005 Express using the skuupgrade=1 tag. I have removed all .net service packs, but I...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
