Hi all

I want to create a small application on my mobile(SamsungC 200)

As a first step I made a solution and added Project SamrtDeviceAppl ication

I named it SmartDeviceTest 1

It asked which platform I wanted to work on (Pocket Pc or WindowsCE Application )
I chose platform WindowsCE
( I don't know which one I should actually choose what I want is to make
it and test it on my pc first and then add it to my mobile)

A form came in it I added a picture.

I tried to run in Debug mode.

A message box came like this

"Choose the device to target. If the .Net framework is not already on the
selected device,it will be deployed along with ypur project"

I chose WindowsCE(defau lt)

A screen popped up just as a windows desktop with mycomputer documents etc.

Then after a few installings the pic I gave showed.

Now my doubt is

1. Is this the interface I will see on my mobile , because it doesn't seem that such a screen could appear in my
mobile ?

2. How can I test it in such a way that I could see it in the same way I can see on my mobile ?

I have never done a Smart device application Please Help me. Thanks in advance

bye Paulson

Hi Paulson -

Unfortunately, according to www.gsmarena.co m, the Samsung C200 does not run any version of Windows Mobile or CE, so you can not target it with the .NET Framework.

Time to whip out those Java skillz then :)

I am new to VB .Net. Is there anything close to what a flex grid was in VB 6.0? By this I mean being able to manipulate and add text data that is not in a database. I would be taking data from a text box and adding it or updating data that already exists in the grid. Again I am using VB .Net in a Smart Device application. Any direction on this would be a great help. Thanks, Brian

Is it possible to use the databrid as the flexgrid. I am using vb .net in a smart device application. I have a part number being entered by the user, I then want to search the grid for that part number, if it is not there I want to add it. I also want the ability for the user to remove rows from the grid. The first problem is that this data is not in any database. The second is that I am developing a smart device application which...

Hi We have an access db which records daily orders. We would like the orders to be downloaded to a windows mobile 2003 device via usb cradle. Drivers then take along the device and get signatures from customers when items delivered. Once drivers are back, the information to be synched back to the access db as drivers may have amended the order detail. How does one go about synching to/from mobile device? Are there any code examples...

I'd like to have a set of more-or-less common code which I want to use for both desktop and smart device projects. I have two questions: 1. How can I set up conditional compile directives for those parts of the code which are different on desktop and smart device projects 2. How can I actually share the same .cs source code files between the two projects. If I try to open a smart device project and add the files which are in the...

I installed "Visual Studio.NET 2003 Special Upgrade for Version 2002 customers". At the time of this posting, this is the latest version available. When I go to create a Smart Device application using C#, the IDE shows the designer window with the error message: "The designer could not be shown for this file because none of the classes within it can be designed."

Hello All, we have a Pocket PC .Net Compact Framework 2) application, that calls a Web Service located within the Company network, which is also accessible via https from outside (the internet). This application usually communicates with the server via cellular carrier connection, GPRS. The application works fine with our Windows CE 2003 SE and Mobile 5 devices. Running the same application on a Mobile 6

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
