I would like to know how to turn off the annoying warning about macros
in a database.
I maintain two databases on my home computer for my own use. Now that
I am using Microsoft Access 2003, every time that I open either of
them, I get the prompt "Security Warning" that says that the .mdb file
may not be safe.
In reading the Help file, it says that this message will not be
displayed if the author or corporation is on the list of...

Hello,
I created a real simple "hello world!" app in vb2005. I also created a
setup app for this app, and it installed on my workstation no problem. Then
I uninstalled the app, and instead published it to my webserver on a win2003
server using the publisher wizard. The publishing went OK, and publish.htm
came up. I click on the Install button, I get the connecting dialog window,
then I get a message that says publisher is unknown do...

Hi,
I'm coding some small applications, that will run from a networkdrive.
To make the applications run from network drive, I need to trust every one
of them.
I use the .net Wizard, to give the applications full trust, then they run.
I can see, there's an oppertunity to trust all assemblys from one publisher.
But how can I put myself as publisher on my code in Visual Studio 2003?

Hi all,
We installed MS CA here so that we can sign our own publisher
certificates. The problem is now I'm having problems figuring out how
to request a code signing certificate.
I set the CS template so that you can request certificates based off of
it, but the problem is that when I request the certificate, it puts my
name in as the publisher, when I really want to enter the company's
name.

Hello all,
I have been banging my head for days try to figure out how to
interface with a standalone install of Microsoft Certificate Authority
on Windows 2003 using the .net framework 2.0 and can seem to find any
information on how to interface with the Microsoft Certificate
Authority to get a list of Issues Certificates using C#. I have tried
the examples that Microsoft provides on using C# and capicom.dll and
I'm able to access the...

Hi all,
I developed application in C# to be used in Vista. I used manifest so
power user or any other user beside administrator can run.
The problem is that the power user gets message that the application
was developed by unknown publisher.
I created test certificate and ran it in administrator and power user.
In administrator I don't get the "unknown publisher" any more, while
in the power user I do + I need to add the admin's...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
