This will give you a start on code to display the folders and files

http://www.vbip.com/miscellaneous/directory-info/dir-info-01.asp

When you click on the file store the entire path including the filename
and when you drag the file and release the mouse button determine if the spot you released the button is a file or folder. If it is a folder , get its parent directory

and refer to this for code on moving files

http://msdn2.microsoft .com/en-us/library/system.io.file. move.aspx

If you need help with coding this, ill be more than happy to help. But give it a shot first.

We need to present hierarchical data on a web page, the same way the tree view shows files in Windows Explorer. Here's the catch: that tree view needs to be bound to a SQL Server database. How can this be done?

It seems that when I dynamically resize items in a tree-view control, using TVM_SETITEM and the TVITEMEX iIntegral member, things go awry. The window draws properly, but it seems like the RECTs for the HTREEITEMs are not updating properly. This is espeically true if I update the size of an individual HTREEITEM more than once -- making it larger,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
