Referring to MouseEnter event not being raised in a C# project im
developing.
Problem previously detailed by Louis MCutchen at
http://www.tech-archive.net/Archive/VB/microsoft.public.vb.controls/2004-04/0158.html
One reply says there is no 'sanctioned' workaround... Unlike Lois I
cant live with this and need this to complete a project... Howabout an
unsanctioned one?

Hello,
I've got a custom class...
public class DataGridButtonColumn : DataGridTextBoxColumn
which I use to put buttons in spreadsheet cells. The buttons are working
fine.
However, I'm trying to hook up a MouseEnter event so that I may change the
cursor when the mouse enters the button control. I'm not having any luck
with this. I've tried several (kind of) similar examples with no luck. Can

Hi folks,
I appreciate any assistance in the following problem:
I have a form with a bunch of dynamic controls on it. All the controls
are dynamically generated on a server, including all the validators.
The user enters the data, presses OK. My OK button is dynamically
generated as well, with some code-behind logic in

I have a login form which I want to display with the showdialog method. When I do that the event handler for the load event does not run. If I use the show method the load event handler runs perfectly. I can't find any documentation regarding the load event not firing when a form is displayed using the showdialog method.

Is there a way to get the MouseEnter event to fire for a user control that
inherits from UpDownBase?
The event is hidden, and does not fire when the mouse enters the control.
TIA

I'm new to JavaScript and I wrote this code to play with. Oddly, if I
enter text in a box and then press the button, I only get the onChange
event for the text box and not the button's onclick event. But if I
press the button without entering text first, the button click event
does work. What's up?

I have an asp.net 2.0 button with server and client side click
events. On the first click, both events will fire. On the next
click, only the client side event fires. How do I make the server
side event not fire after the first click?
Thanks,
Brett

Hello,
Is there a way I can reference the button control that activated the
mouseenter event?
My buttons are created at runtime so i do not know any names.
I was hoping to use Me.ActiveControl but this only works if the button
is clicked.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
