Hi all,
I am trying to install the .NET framework 1.1 runtime package on
Windows 2000 SP4. While the installation starts well, I get the
following message box during the installation process :
Please insert the disk : Microsoft .NET Framework (English) : OK

ASP.NET deployement project setup.exe files "see" large drive partitions as
negative size -- and therefore will not install on them.
This is bad.
Having to teach my clients how to install using xcopy is bad.
Not having an easily removable entry in 'Add/Remove' programs is bad.
Any clues on when this will be fixed?

I am attempting to install an update for WinXP Manager. When I try to install
it, I get an error window that tells me I have to have .NET 1.1 installed, I
thought I did, I downloaded .NET Frameworkl 1.1 from Microsoft. When I try to
install it I get an error window that informs me that the program is not a
valid Windows 32 application. I'm puzzled since I have to have .NET installed
to get to this page. Is .NET 1.1 part of SP2 or is it...

I have little or no knowledge as to how a runtime Access database
application might be distributed from a website. I am sure that I'm
about to find out. I do have one question for you wizards though...
My experience has shown that when I have installed applications
from the web, my browser generally asks what I want to do with
the file... Do I wanna save it? or Do I wanna run it? The browser
generally warns about the dangers of executing...

I have a client who is requesting the following:
Description:
-database should be a runtime version of MS Access so that it would not be
necessary for the user to have any Microsoft products in order to operate
the program.
-key function is to help automate some time consuming tasks that occupy a
business owner the most and join several other programs functions into one
precise and easy to use system that will eliminate other bulky...

My A97 runtime installations are sometimes paused
during the install process prompting user with messages
saying the files are in use. Generally, I tell them to click
IGNORE. Although I haven't had any noticeable related
impact in past installations, I cannot help but wonder
what is going on and if my installations are jeopardized
because of something important I'm overlooking.

I have a desperate short term need for a way to install Access 2003
runtime on client computers. I have the proper license to do so but I
cannot seem to find the files to do it like we did with the old Access
2000 Runtime. Also, I cannot use the MS Package & Deployment wizard
because it won't allow us to install our app into the specific path
that it must be in. It only seems to allow preset macros to define
the target install path --...

I have a PDA-based (Syware Visual CE) database which I need to sync to
an Access database. The Access database contains three tables: 1 is
the data itself, 2 is a linked table that prefills several fields in
the main data table based on the value of one of it's fields, and 3 is
table the PDA database creates to sync cases. I've been using Access
2003 until now. I need to be able to distribute the Access database
and PDA database to...

A project depends on VC runtime from Visual Studio 2005 SP1, and DotNet
Framework 2. Options are set in the setup project properties, so if these
two dependencies are not already installed then this installer will install
them.
But what about the situation where VC runtime has already been installed?
In fact it's been installed twice. Although the project was built on a
Windows XP system with Visual Studio 2005 SP1 and the results were...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
