Hi,
I just installed MySQL on a Windows XP machine, and upon using the SHOW
DATABASES command, I was suprised to see that the only table that exists
is the 'test' table. Isn't there supposed to be a 'mysql' table there
also? Did I miss something?

I got it...just needed to set up a password and all was well.

I'm having great problems trying to install the latest MySQl RPM
package onto my Red Hat Linux OS.
There is already MySQL v 3.0 pre-installed with the RH Linux
distribution disk but I can not seem to get any of the functions

9.0 computer
I did: rpm -Uvh mysql-administrator-1.0.22a-1.rh9.src.rpm

My current version of mysql is 3.23.58. I'd like to upgrade the version
to 5.0.18.
After downloading from MYSQL.COM the package on the site, I made :
rpm -i MySQL-server-5.0.18-0.i386.rpm
then i have errors that relate to many conflicts. I cannot figure out
why -and- cannot upgrade. Please Help !

I installed Apache 2.0.58, tested it, got the "working" page. Installed
MySQL 5.0.22, and didn't really see how to test that, but there is a mysql
process running in the task manager. Ran through the PHP 5.1.4 installation
directions, and that seems to work, since I can use phpinfo() and get all
