I have firefox 1.0, running on winxp
Firefox blocks popups fine, but sometimes, for selected occassions
only, i would like to be able to have window popup; without enabling
whole domains, as other popups from same domain are not desired.
How can I selectively override the firefox popup blocker, without
opening up pop up from many ads from same domain.

I'm searching for a way to use window.open on my web page to open a window
in firefox that allows the sidebars to work (bookmarks, history, etc).
When I use the following:

Up until a few weeks ago, javascript code like
window.open("http://mydomain.com", "windowName");
would always bring my new or reused window to the top, with focus.
Lately, Firefox (Deer park alpha 2) only brings it to the top if the
window is new. If it's being reused, the window does not come to
the foreground (with IE 6 it does).
Is there a new way in Mozilla/Firefox that I can ensure that this

Hi,
I have read at many place that .Net 2.0 was suppose to support
client-side validation in non-IE Browser. But i've try a very simple
validation, and firefox is unable to run it, it works only in IE.
Do i have to make something special to make it work or the problem is
still present in 2.0 ?

Some sites I've rolled out mde's to allow user to press
F-11 & bring up database window. Others do not. Anybody
know what setting controls this? Strange is that the app
is the same in each location - compiled to mde using same
source mdb.

I am trying to make an XMLHttpRequest which violates the default "same-
origin"policy in Firefox. I checked the archives and found a method
that should work but it does not. Below is the test code I isolated. I
set signed.applets.codebase_principal_support true and seemed to get
the UniversalBrowserRead permission but then the open still failed
with the same old "Permission denied to call method

open the form. I have written this code in "On Current Event". I go on

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
