Hi,
i´m using Window 2003 server, a wireless LAN, and 75 users, all of them need internet, so troughout a proxy i give the internet access to all of them but i need to all my users go to the intranet first to see the new and posts.
is there any way to do this?, the user opens the browser, they got into the intranet first and after that they push a button or a comand embeded into the intranet grants them access to the web, whitout returning to the intranet, unless they close the browser and open it again.
can anyone help me?? any ideas?? thank you in advance for all your ideas.

Usually this is done in a soft way setting the default address during a build, usually a SOE. If they are not admins of their machines you may be able to lock this address through preventing them changing it.
Another interesting way is to run all users as thin clients through virtualization, but that would require a total rebuild.
The other way is to email a regular newletter with top stories and more details through a link. Have all internal applications linked only through the intranet. Make it a useful application, take feedback etc.
You may be able to have your default browser load on starting up when the system loads.
Beware - people hate hostage marketing, where they have no choice, and this may further encourage non compliance.

Thnak you, i already thought on those solutions, i even makin a toolbar who gives info and redirect to the intranet, actually i develop a WiFi-Vsat system who can give internet to small cities on my country who doesnt have connectivity, and the Satellital connection can support only 20 users, but i made it work for more than 120, using cache, firewalls, and a special software who made all tis possible, and the idea of routing all my users to the intranet is to show them the status of the service, remember to them when they have to pay, useful downloads to make their navigation better, updates of antivirus and all kind of stuff for them; but actually i´m needing a solution to route my users to the intranet without have to install any toolbar or modify the users default web site on their browser.

Can be done with group policy object. Do a little research on GPO.

I have a .NET datagrid that has a column of dropdownlist controls. If the
user changes the value in the dropdown in one or more rows I will set a
flag. If the user subsequently attempts to (1) leave the page, or 2) close
the window, I want to present an Alert reminding them to first submit their
data.
Anyone know how to do this?
TIA,
Dewey

I'm having a problem saving session information on one form and retrieving it
on a subsequent form...for only one out of a number of users. Actually, I'm
not absolutely certain it's a session problem but I'm hoping the experts can
help me figure that out.
Our application uses a session variable to "pass" info from one form to the
next. It has always worked fine for our users until a few weeks ago when one
of our users started having a...

Our company deploys our .NET 2.0 apps to a network drive for them to be run.
We are having issues with security in getting these to run. Below is a sample
output for a job that is trying to call a DLL and failing.
Since the .NET 2.0 Config control panel applet is no longer included with
the framework, we ran the following command line to allow full trust on Local
Intranet apps:

Hi
I am facing a problem with regard to opening of Access Databases,
resident on pcs of my office network connected thru LAN, from my

are in full share mode and the folders are accessible. All the network

the versions are registered.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
