Hello,
Just a quick question; I'm using the Inman Flash Replacement technique
on my website for headlines, but when it comes to printing, Opera
doesn't print the headlines at all and IE prints the flash image -
what I'd like is for just the plain text to be printed, and there be
no flash images at all on the printed copy.
Is there anybody else who's using this technique and knows of a solution?

While at first this may seem a simple tast, it has plagued me for a while...
What I want to do is to have the background colour of something like a TextBox
to change from (say) White to Yellow to White to Yellow and then back to White
in about 1 second or so.
This is to create something like a 'flash' (or a Pulse) for when a User clicks
on 1 of 4 Radio Buttons (which change the Text in the TextBox). So in other
words, to get the...

Hi all,
This is what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to load a flash movie
transparently over my existing html page (not covering the full
screen, but 75% of it), so it is kind of similar to a "splash screen"
in the respect it is to be an introductory screen.
I already have a flash movie made (although for some reason
WMODE=TRANSPARENT isn't working), but we'll get to that in a sec. I
also already have all the html for the playing the...

I am developing an HTML javascript application and I want to preserve
state in a way that can be book-marked. I chose HTML anchors as a means
of preserving state. When the application changes state, the HTML page
URL would change from default.html to default.html#stateA.
example: http://pearstudios.com/javascript/locationHashAndFlash.html
This has worked perfectly within HTML and javascript alone, however,
when connecting Flash and...

Hello everybody,
I have a asp.net 1.1 page which has the following controls:
4 Images whose src points to an image.aspx file which returns a different
jpg from a DB
1 flash object on top of those which contains buttons with links embedded in
them to another pages (each having the same layout, identical to the page I'm
talking about). The transfer is realised with some url_get method in the
flash. I don't know because I didn't make it and...

Hello,
I am inserting the values for radio buttons on a form into a database.
There are 25 questions with 4 possible answers (see below). Is it possible
to pragmatically build the radio button name so I can loop through the
possibilities?
For example I would like to be able to build the rbn in a loop

Hi,
i am creating a 'design online' flash tool that allows me to design
something with flash, throwing graphics and text elements. i then export
that using XML data and have PHP create a jpeg version of what the flash
contained.
my problem is that i use imagettftext to render my text elements (it can be
bolded, italic, different font sizes and different fonts).

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...
