Hello every body,
I need to build a more complicated GUI in my asp.net pages than the usual
controls ( drop down list, text box, radio buttons .... ect), anyway i need
this GUI to be able to interact with asp.net code ( i.e. to change some
variables, fire events, do postback, change this GUI from the C# code ...
ect)
So I would like to know what is the best way to do this job ? using flash ?
or something else ?
And if I used flash , how can I fire the events or comunicate with the the
actionscript and C# code ?
thatnks alot in advance.

This is really bad advice unless you aren't planning on deploying your
application until late 2006. geesh. Why would you suggest pre-alpha not
generally available technology?
If you want to use Flash you can look into the Flash Remoting tool kit. This
toolkit will allow flash to communicate with the server through web
services.

Yes, I agree XAML is not timely -- today -- but XAML is an
emerging initiative and coming to understand how pervasive it is
intended to become within the scope of the OS and application
development is important when discussing the 'rich user interface.'
I don't know how a 'look at this' can be considered bad advice
but there's times I've read comments from others and thought them
completely ridiculous myself.

Regarding numerical types, in my view, casts fall in one of two
categories:
1. Casts that change the value of an object
2. Casts that are actually redundant, but get rid of compiler/lint
warnings
As an example, consider this code:

I am new to flash and want someone to guide me,
Is it possible to create a UI entirely in Flash and that will inetract
with C# components (backend) and these components will in return
interact with database etc.
If flash and C# interaction is possbile then, what are the prons and
cons of this interaction?
As using flash, one can create wonderful UI. But in return I also want
it to interact fully with C# components.

I have a product that contains several components. I want the user to come
to my site and "build a product" out of the available components.
I envision something like this:
- user sees a basic product on the page
- clicks on a component to view options for that component
- can change components, mix and match by clicking on each component and
selecting from the options available to arrive at a final product they want.
- ideally, then...

A graphic artist came up with a high color animation which I'm required to
show within a form.
Any suggestions on the best way to do this? Is there MNG support, or maybe
an embedded borderless flash player?
I need to get from the artist's non-programatic output to an in-application

Thanks for any help,

Inserting a Flash (SWF, FLV) file into HTML web page is already an old and familiar thing to all of us. It is a rather non-flexible thing that just to edit some options in the template. However, I did not understand some parameters totally in the HTML tag. These days when I was surfing the Internet I have found some comprehensive introduction to these two tags. I read it and conclude it with my own words; I think it will be useful to us, so I...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
