How did he/she do it? I meant the login window being modal of the rest.
Why not just look at their source?
Hint, it's a div with opacity of .4 layed over the whole page, overlayed by
the login box. Simple stuff. Though why they think I would be stupid enough
to give them my email address to simply listen to some music evades me.
Their ads totally suck as well, I'll never willingly visit that site again!

She did it with 158 XHMTL errors.

Thanks. I am just interested in how that site did it, not the content,
not advertising. :)

Excuse me while I laugh my ass off.
As an aside, technically the character "/" in URLs is not a directory slash.
It is simply a separator between components. And as you point out, it's by
definition "/" and never "\" that shall be used in a URL as a separator,
independently of the operating system of the server, or of the client, or
the shoe size of the author. The structure of a URL may (and mostly will) be
mapped to a file system structure, but that's at the discretion of the web
server and invisible to the outside world.

On a web page, when moving the cursor to an icon, button or a piece of
text, a rectangle slot would automatically appear, in which some text
is there explaining what the web page is about. For instance, moving
the cursor to the top of the IE browser and stop at an icon, a slot
would appear. The text in it would be 'Back to . . .', 'Stop',
'Refresh', and so on. This program is quite popular, actually
everywhere. But I don't know how to do...

I want to make an effect like in excel when you fix colums and then
you can scroll the rest colums behind the fixed.
But I won't or can't do this with frames, so has anybody seen a
website or an example with this effect. Maybe dhtml or even with css
or something else like that.
Thank you very much

Hi all,
I have developed an application in ASP.NET. I wanted that whenever a
user comes to my website, it opens browser in F11 mode.
I find the code to open browser in F11 mode (its javascript) but this
can be done in window.open method of javascript, but i don't want to
open a new window instead wanted that existing window opens as full
screen (as through F11).
Did some R & D but get no such solution, so what trick i decided to do

Hi
I am designing my own website for my garden design business. So far so good.
I was wondering if it was possible to do a slideshow effect similar to the one that can be found on the front page of
http://www.villanova.co.uk
I love the look of the images blending into one another and it would be perfect for the front of my website showcasing some of my designs.
can this be done using javascript? and if so anyone know the basic code...

mouseover effect if possible. Any hints?

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
