When you have nothing to say, it is usually best to say it.

I have, of course, trawled Google, but it amounts to garbage in,
garbage out. A Google search for "pure CSS menu" returned 109,000
hits. I spent half a day on the first page and didn't find anything
useful. AT which point I thought it better to ask people than machines.

Thank you for your invaluable contribution to my search.

For CSS menus, there are some invaluable resources somewhere around,
but I can't remember the one I used. :-/ At any rate, if you would like
you can see a sample implemenation of a pure CSS (for normal browsers,
IE excluded) dropdown menus which destruct nicely, you can visit
<http://www.sacrificumd eo.net/mystshop/template.htm> for a simple
example.

You might look for "CSS dropdown menu" or something like that instead
of "pure CSS Menu". :-/

Aaah, here's the link to the tutorial I used:

<http://www.tanfa.co.uk/css/examples/css-dropdown-menus.asp>

Enjoy!

Hi. I am trying to create a horizontal menu like the one here http://www.milonic.com/menusample25.php where the drop down menu for each item it horizontal on a new row instead of vertical. Another example is at www.virginblue.com.au. I am pretty new to doing fancy style sheet stuff so any info would be appreciated. Craig.

Need help with creating a drop down menu. I am trying to replicate the GUI of a large db application that runs on large Sun servers using Oracle/Solaris, etc. My purpose is to create a stand-alone training package using Access that people can run on a laptop to simulate as near as possible the GUI of the real system. My problem is that the actual application has a number of forms in datasheet format which have a the word "File" in the...

Hi From an example supplied with Visual Web Developer Express 2005, I am trying to build a "horizontal menu" with drop down links. In the example below I have added: url="mouse.aspx?/"> to <siteMapNode title="Mouse" This works - i.e. If I click Products/Hardware/Mouse - mouse.aspx opens.

I am trying to incorporate a CSS drop-down menu into a site (suckerfish menu). The menu gets lost behind the content below it, but only on one of the drop downs (News). The error occurs on all of the browsers I have tested it on (IE6, IE7, Firefox, Opera and Safari). It is probably something simple, but I can't find it! Here is the CSS (using external style sheets): style-temp.css (Main style sheet for the site): * { font-family:...

I am using a nested list for a simple drop-down menu. All CSS and XHTML validate. The menu is displayed properly in 7 different newer browsers including IE7, Firefox, Opera & Safari. I have implemented csshover.htc. In IE6, the menu displays on two lines and the drop-down (Calendar) does not work. Any clue where the problem lies? Url: caz-cc.com/index.htm. Thanks soooo much!

Hi everyone, I am using a nested list for a simple drop-down menu. All CSS and XHTML validate. The menu is displayed properly in 7 different newer browsers including IE7, Firefox, Opera & Safari. I have implemented csshover.htc in the manner I believe is correct. In IE6, the menu displays on two lines instead of a single line and the drop-down (Calendar) does not work (Calendar menu item is not a 'link'). Any clue where the problem...

I was at this link to add a menu bar to my Access app. http://office.microsoft.com/en-s/access/HP051890341033.aspx I got the menu bar added, but had some more questions about it. In the link above, there was mention of assigning it as the "Global menu" bar, but it does not indicate how to specify a custom menu bar as the global bar. Any idea how to do this?

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
