Horizontal Menu - I need some help (VWD Express)

Hi

From an example supplied with Visual Web Developer Express 2005,
I am trying to build a "horizontal menu" with drop down links.

In the example below I have added: url="mouse.aspx ?/">
to <siteMapNode title="Mouse"

This works - i.e. If I click Products/Hardware/Mouse - mouse.aspx opens.

I have two questions;

1) Is this acceptable practise - I mean it might work for me now,
but will it be corrupted somewhere down the line?

2) Could someone explain why url="Default.as px"
is included in this path: <siteMapNode title="Hardware "
url="Default.as px?node=hardwar e"?

I'm trying to get my head around all this!!

Many thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Stephen

I'm at a real stumbling block and need to get this fixed ASAP. I've uploaded my club site files, my DB is in SQL Server on the web host (webhost4life.com)... I ran aspnet_regsql.exe against my Club DB on my local computer and then loaded it into the SQL Server DB via a restore. Now I need to load my membership with users. The default aspnet_users table is empty so I have no one to login to the website with. I load my website up...

I know VB5/VBA very well but have not used VB to create web pages but need to do so. Can someone explain the purposes and differences between VBScript and VB.NET to create web pages? Also where do Visual Web Developer Express Edition and Microsoft Frontpage fit into the picture? It seems there are a bewildering array of choices in creating websites

Hi, I use Visual C# Express 2005 and Visual Web Developer Express 2005. In my Visual C# Express 2005 Solution, I have following two class library projects: _ DataAccess (Namespace name: DataAccess) _ SystemLibrary (Namespace name: SystemLibrary) which they both build in their own "bin\Release\" folders.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
