How do I actually convert different video format (avi,mpeg,mp4, etc) file to a flash format and view it as flash? People would upload their video files on my server and my server will do the conversion automatically to flash format. When people preview the video files, they would see them in flash. I am interested to use visual c++ to do the conversion. How is it done? Your help is kindly appreciated. Regards

There are some Mac tools to convert pretty much any given video source to a Flash video file (.flv) but I'm wondering if there is any way to do it using a Linux platform tying in to a PHP web system? I.e. I'd like to have video files submitted by users which are then auto-converted to .flv files. Anyone have any experience with this? -- Sandman

When the user chooses an AV file to play, based upon the type of file, I want to use the default installed media player to play it. I am wondering if this is a good way - any alternatives, suggestions or improvements? if( wmv file) document.write("<OBJECT id=Player classid=CLSID:6BF52A52-394A-11d3-B153-00C04F79FAA6 height="354" width="479">

So I tried to do my father a favor and convert his advertisements to .flv and place them on his website. With Flash being $600, I found an open-source .flv player and configured it. So today he called and stated it isn't working with IE. The script: <script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.fivestarsuzuki.com/ video/swfobject.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> <!--

Hello All, I am pulling my hair out over this deal. First off, I'm a Flash newbie and I'm using the Creating a Web Site with Flash CS3 Professional book to help me create my website. Most everything has gone OK ( a few spin outs up the learning curve) but now I'm at my wits end! I'm trying to place a video in my site which has cue points and really nothing else that's especially complicated. When I go through the video import process...

Am trying to add a "video" to a webpage which is based on a template containing a javascript menu. The site has hundreds of pages all based on this template and the menu works fine The page can be viewed: www.faith.org.uk/Testindex.html In IE7 it works fine. The video shows and the dropdowns of the menu work correctly. In Mozilla Firefox, although the video works the dropdowns do not show. I have been told that everything works ok in OS...

Hi i'm realtively new to HTML, let alone HTML CSS but basicly, as the title suggests I want to know how to position a flash video in a particular part of the web page. I have attached a picture showing where the video is currently, and where I actually want it to be. 2243 I've also included a text document showing all of my code. I've highlighted the code at the bottom of the document because its the code to do with the flash video. 2244

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
