Hello All,
I am pulling my hair out over this deal.
First off, I'm a Flash newbie and I'm using the Creating a Web Site with Flash CS3 Professional book to help me create my website. Most everything has gone OK ( a few spin outs up the learning curve) but now I'm at my wits end!
I'm trying to place a video in my site which has cue points and really nothing else that's especially complicated. When I go through the video import process and set my parameters, cue points, skin, etc.it places an empty rectangle in my pasteboard view - there is no icon or representation of the skin, which is the SteelExternalAl l.swf skin, or anything at all other than the empty rectangle. As a note, I do not have Outline view on.
I've gone through this process with the example out of the book and it works fine. The FLVPlayback and the skin and everything are imported perfectly into the Flash file.
I've looked and looked to compare my file and the Flash file from the book and I can't find any differences.
By the way, I am using Flash CS3. The Adobe KB has NOTHING on this and I've searched the net and come up empty.
Any help or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!
Thank you.
By the way, my site (under construction) is www.civicspirit .com

As an add-on to the previous post, the result is that the player controls aren't accessible once I publish and post the site. If you check out he video in the bottom right of my site you'll see what I mean...

Hi there
I am working on a program where the user should be able to import some CSV
files.
With my set of test data, it takes about 2 minutes to import, while it is
importing the program sort of freezes.
Therefore i would like to open a little window with a progress bar in it
that shows how far the import has come.

I've produced some high-def videos and I want people
to be able to watch them on my website, but I may want
to prevent downloads and I certainly want to prevent
them from editing them.
How can I impose such limitations?
I have asked Google Video if they will ever permit

I did a website for a friend's company where they wanted a 'downloads'
section similar to standard file sharing you see all over the place.
Everything works great except for video. I know there are codecs involved,
however, if i create a video (I've tried mpg, avi, wma so far) I can watch
it on my pc from disk just fine. Since my pc is also my test environment, I
try to open the same video from the test site and I get the standard 'Can't...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
