Based on what it says in the subscribers downloads for Team Suite I would
think it would be there. Can it be downloaded separately or is it just the
Workgroups one?
Visual Studio Team System consists of:
a.. Visual Studio Team Foundation Server, an extensible team collaboration
server that enables all members of the extended IT team to effortlessly
manage and track the progress and health of projects
b.. Visual Studio Team Edition for...

Greatings,
I started using the Team Developer version of Unit Testing and the Team
Developer version of Code Coverage. One thing I really like about it is
that I can create my Unit Tests in a seperate project in the solution and
when I view code coverage, the IDE will show me the coverage statistics for
any project in the solution that was tested.
Since I pay for my own personal Team Suite subscription out of my pocket, I
can only...

Hi,
I can't get a vs2008 solution to compile.
I have copied the source from a (compiling) 2.0 web-application
to a new directory (I didn't want to change the old code), and tried
to compile it in vs2008 (beta 2). When compilation reaches about
75% of the 46 projects in this solution, it seems to hang with near
100% CPU usage. A colleague (who had the same problem) reported
that compilation did finish after about 90 minutes of CPU time.

Ok this is making me want to rip my hair out trying to figure out the real
price of this thing... we are trying to make up our 2008 budget... we have
VS 2005 Pro right now... we like the team features in 08... and want to
figure out the price... I've seen everything from $2,500 to $15k... wich
$15k is ridicilous.... anyways... then it has editions in 2005! database,
app analyst, performance.... what ever they where called... then in 2008...

I don't understand the Enterprise editions that MS gives away.
If I only write VB what is the difference between buying and using VS2008
and downloading and using the VB enterprise edition?
If I write a solution containing VB and C# what is the difference?

Is Visual Studio 2008 still beta or is the production release ready to
be downloaded from MSDN now?
Will it open and automatically upgrade VB 2003 projects?
I understand I can use it to maintain 2005 programs without upgrading
them. Correct?
Can I install it on my pc with 2003 and 2005 without keeping those
versions from working?

Is there any possible downside of completely replacing VS2005 with VS2008
willy-nilly? Shouldn't it work with all of my 2.0 projects and websites?
(I have MSDN vs2008 DVD (disk 4400))
Thanks,
Gary

Each time I create or open many projects I get a security warning from
VS2008 Team Ed:
"Security Warning for {Project Name}"
The dialog gives me the option of loading the solution for browsing only, or
loading it normally. In the "more information" dialog, it says...
"An item referring to the file "" was found in the project file ... Since
this file is located within a system directory, root directory, or network

I've been away from ASPNET - I open up a new Web app in VS2008 and go into
properties and select to use IIS instead of the personal web server. Then
I run in debug mode and it says I have to set the Debug= True in the
Web.config which I do. Then try to run it again and it says I must enable
integrated security which I do. I then try to run it again and get the HTTP
403 error - " This error (HTTP 403 Forbidden) means that Internet...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
