I need to add the cell generation to a templated program. I am using
graphics magician, but my problem is with the math. I cannot figure
out my cell generations. I do know that I need two different arrays.
One array is the original grid, and one is the copy of that grid.
But, I am stuck..here is my code, if anyone could please help me I
would greatly appreciate it.

Hello,
The Javascript code at the URL below does work but no doubt there are
better ways of coding the app so would appreciate any comments!

Is it possible to upgrade the Media Centre version to XP Pro as someone suggested?

Hi,
I'm new to this forum and to the python language, but I do have previous experience programming in java and in C+. My aim is to port a GPS navigation program called "Map This!" (http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Map_This%21#Other_Platforms) using the source code which was originally written in C#. Porting the program to python should allow me to experiment using "Map This!" with phones that support python scripts and also on a xbox1 system...

Hi guys,
Im trying to write a program in C++ using windows with an interface that is similar to either media centre or sony's XMB where there are 3 layers of menus, with the lower 2 layers driven by database values, so that the 2nd and 3rd layers are filtered to display a list of options based on the previous.
eg. Top layer lists Genre, Year, Title
2nd layer lists the available genres
3rd layer lists the titles available within the...

Hi Guys,
I am writing a Media Centre Addin in Vb.net and it was all going good until i got to the point where i want to find the "Currently Playing song FilePath or URl"
I have spend a number of hours racking my brain to figure out a way of seeing what the "Currently Opened Files" are on a machine at any point of time.
My idea is to get all the currently opened files, and then filter the Extensions from these and find the media item...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
