DESPERATE FOR HELP! Please Read!

*** Sorry for the cross-posting, but this is an emergency ***

My wife and I run a small web development company in Port Charlotte,
Florida. We hosted our own clients on our own Windows web servers.

Hurricane Charley came through and flattened the building our offices
were located in. Fortunately, I had a bad feeling and decided to
disconnect the two servers on Friday before the storm and bring them
home with me.

I actually have a T1 at my home that I can use in this type of
situation, however the area where our home is located was also heavily
damaged. Our home is fine (all superficial damage) and the T1 is
actually up, but we're using the backup generator to run a small air
conditioner and our refridgerator. I had designed our backup system to
run the servers at home for a day or maybe two, but not a prolonged
outage.

I've got my personal computer up and running so that I can communicate
with the world, but my servers are down. I need a dedicated Windows
server to host about 30 sites. I need Remote access to the machine so
that I can install some controls (JMail, etc.) and preferably I need SQL
server 2000 pre-installed, but I can install it remotely if necessary.

Here's the kicker, the Small Business Administration "excelerate d"
application process still takes three weeks. My available funds right
now are severely limited. I only need the server for 60 to 90 days, so
I don't want to sign a long-term contract and I need it dirt cheap.

If you are located in Florida, outside of the hurricane zone and you can
rent me space in your data center for two servers (mini ATX cases) for a
couple of months cheap, I will drive to where you are.

We host the web sites for all of the local Clear Channel radio stations
in our area, so I can get you some media coverage and I will certainly
recommend your service to everyone for the rest of my life if you can
help me out (we do not do general web hosting, we only host the web
sites of our web development customers... For people who call us for
general web hosting I have been recommending GoDaddy, but I'll recommend
you instead).

If you can help me, please email sirbubbadawg at yahoo com

Thanks!

Yeah, except that this particular fellow is on the level. He hosts &
runs basicguru.com, and he worked at PowerBASIC for a few years.

We've developed a content management system that we donate to the public domain (via a Creative Commons declaration) at www.publicdomainsoftware.org. Our cms has an emphasis on weblogs, though we hope to add additional features eventualy. In the early days of the project, we had a graphic/web designer volunteering some time with us, but she has since gotten busy with other projects. We are desperate for someone to help us with the visual...

I am having a very perplexing problem with setting the user's roles. I have tried to figure this out for 2 days now. When the user logs in to the site, I retrieve the roles from the database and create a semicolon delimited string listing the roles returned and store them in the forms authentication cookie. Then in the global.asax Application_AuthenticateRequest, I retrieve the FormsAuthenticationTicket from the forms authentication...

Hi, Sorry this is a long message, but I'm getting desperate (and worried). I have a textbox (say, tb1) where the string is longer than the width of the box. If I'm coming from the previous textbox (tb0) (by tabbing or pressing enter or the down arrow), the text inside tb1 highlights and the cursor is at the end of the string (so that the beginning of the string isn't visible). If I type absolutely any key(s) other than Tab, Up, Down, or...

Hi all, I'm desperately trying to get a simple mysql connection working in php 4.3.9 and I think I have a doozy for you guys. First of all, I didn't set up ANY of this system, I'm just working with it. So, on Redhat, we have two versions of PHP - Apache uses 4.3.9, there's also a 4.4.2 that is default from command-line. 4.3.9 was installed by RPM, 4.4.2 was built from source. I can get mysql.so loaded and working fine in 4.4.2, but...

Hi all. I want to know if anyone might be able to help me with this strange problem. I need to have a simple report that can draw up to any number of records. Now, I have a Visual Studios 2003.Net Crystal Report generated though the Studios. Is there any way I can get it to use a subreport and insert that sub report every time when my foreach loop runs? Or is there any way I can get hold of C# code to do this? Here is my code.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
