Hello All, I was reading some of the posts trying to learn about date
coding schemes used in old DOS programs with no luck, so I though I'd
ask the group for help.
These are the HEX values and corresponding dates I am using. If anyone
can help me figure out the encode / decode method I would really
appreciate it.
Date only, no time stored.
9C07 0B00 = 01-15-80
9D07 0B00 = 01-16-80
BB07 0B00 = 02-15-80

I have a multi threaded VB.NET application (4 threads) that I use to send
text messages to many, many employees via system.timer at a 5 second
interval. Basically, I look in a SQL table (queue) to determine who needs
to receive the text message then send the message to the address. Only
problem is, the employee may receive up to 4 of the same messages because
each thread gets the recors then sends the message. I need somehow to
prevent...

Hi there,
I'm Jo and it's the first time I've posted here. I'm in process of creating
a database at work and have come a little unstuck.....I'm a bit of a novice
and wondered if anyone could help. I work in a library and send out dual
language books to babies of dual or other nationality.
The db is to be used for logging a range of book titles and numbers ordered
and books sent out to individuals. I am trying to work out a way of...

What I am trying to create is basically a page with a bunch of multiple choice questions. Basically just like a test page. I am providing the code lower. All the questions that need to show as a part of the test are stored in a separate database. There is also a test file "list.txt" that has names of files from the database that I want to display. That way you don't have to manually choose the questions. All you need is to generate a text file...

Hi,
I've been trying to import a spreadsheet from excel into access but the way it is downloaded from the site we use to review our performance some cells are like the following:
The cell shows - 35:34:00
But when you click into the cell the forumla/information behind it is - 01/01/1900 11:34:00.
The actual info I want is 35:34:00 to show into access but it shows the 01/01/1900 11:34:00 and I can't get it to format to show 35:34:00.

I designed a "contact_us" page in visual web developer 2005 express along
with EW2 after viewing tutorials on asp.net's help page. Features work like
they should, but I cannot figure out how to send contact info to email or
data base when the "send" button is pressed. I've watched the tutorials over
& over again. I just can't get it.

With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
