Help Getting A Time From Excel Into Access

6 New Member
Hi,

I've been trying to import a spreadsheet from excel into access but the way it is downloaded from the site we use to review our performance some cells are like the following:

The cell shows - 35:34:00

But when you click into the cell the forumla/information behind it is - 01/01/1900 11:34:00.

The actual info I want is 35:34:00 to show into access but it shows the 01/01/1900 11:34:00 and I can't get it to format to show 35:34:00.

When I click on the format settings in excel it shows [h}:mm:ss but you can't do this in access I've tried [h}:nn:ss but this doesn't show 35:34:00.

I'm really stuck and unsure of the best way to resolve this the problem is this isn't the same for each cell so it's not a particular column it's just random..

Any help appreicated. Thanks in advance.

Is this value being calculated in Excel (YourEndDateTim e - YourBeginStartT ime) or something in that fashion? If so you can import the 2 date/times and just display the results in a query or textbox. Format((YourEnd DateTime - YourBeginDateTi me),"hh:nn:ss")

Hi,

No it's not a forumla in excel it's downloaded from a system we use and it is just data so no formulas. I understand it is because of the 24hr clock in excel and if it goes over 24hrs it uses this format is there something similar in access. I'm not great with vba so hoping for something simple.

I have a 200 record database that includes a date/time field, AnnivDate, for a wedding anniversary. AnnivDate has nulls and some incorrect year data. I have been creating the Access database using data imported from an Excel file and the person entering into Excel only cared about the month and day portion and Excel added the current year to the field value. I want to produce a report that shows upcoming anniversaries using a parameter...

I currently have VBA written to export query results into an Excel file. That file is then formatted using the code below. The problem I'm having is that it keeps throwing Error 91 (Object variable or With block variable not set) at this part of the code: If xlWs.Range("A3") <"" Then xlWs.Range("A2").End(xlDown).Select l = Selection.Row Debug.Print "l = " & l ElseIf xlWs.Range("A2") <"" Then

I'm not a fantastic Access developer, but I'm trying to help get Inventory and whatnot organized at work. They are used to 5 year budget plans that list out exactly what has to be purchased what year and how much it will cost. Currently these are kept in Excel and look like this | Inventory information (who, what, where) | 2008 | 2009 | 2010 | 2011| 2012 The cost for the item is displayed in the column in the year when it

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
