I have created a query and saved it. The Access 2003 allowed me to create a table using the query. To the life of me I can't find out where to do this in A2007. Can someone either answer this or direct me to a document that tells me such. I have use MSOffice Help, but it hasn't helped....

After importing a txt delimited file into Access 2007 with adding Couonter
there is a problem with column order. For example in txt file:
John|Doe|25.10.2007
in new Access table are 4 columns:
Doe|John|1|25.10.2007
I need the same column order!

Looking for a little assistance/direction.
I have flat files that contain a header record, multiple detail records and a trailer record and sometimes more than one set of these in each flat file. I need to create a record in a parent table from the header and trailer record information and then move all the detail records into a child table. I have saved Specifications stored for importing the long detail records.
Any help on where to...

Hi all,
I am designing a database named grants in MS Access. It basically deals with
1) A group of people write a proposal for projects that they want to do.
2) The proposal is submitted to a funding agency for consideration.
3) At some time in the future, the funding agency may or may not accept the proposal and make an award to fund the project.
For this I have created 5 tables
1) Proposals: ProposalID(Primary Key), ProfessorID, Project...

Hi
I am trying to export an Access table to a fixed-width text file. The
table contains 2 memo fields of approx. 1000 characters each.
I am using the 'Export text wizard' to export. In this wizard I change
the default width (512) of the memo fields to the required larger
size but it still only exports as 512.
This has always worked fine for me in Access 2003 but it is truncating

I have created a website using VWD 2008. The interface allows a user to enter information such as (first name, last name, donation amount, etc.). I also want to add a feature to upload images and also have the images write to a field in the Access 2007 database. I have already created a new field in the database for type "attachment".
Also I have added the file upload control to my web page, and updated all my gridview controls to show...

Looking ahead, I decided to try splitting my db and compiling the front end. So I tried it on a copy of my current db.
I managed to split the db successfully, but then I wanted to compile the front end. Access refused to do it. The 'help' said it was probably because the db is "too big", but this seems wildly unlikely to me. I have about 40 queries, 40 forms and 30 reports, whereas 'help' is talking about thousands???
Any ideas as to...

I was working with an access2007 database. But after closing it i couldnt find the database in the location where i stored. I search all possible means but failed to find where that vanished.I checked the Recycle bin, did a complete search, and Run with the file name - but no use.
While working there was an error and it created a backup file. But that is not the file i worked before closing.
Expecting your help to recover the database.

Hi guys,
Recently I need to dig up an "ancient" paradox (.db) file connected by an access database. But when I select the paradox file as link table it shows the following error:
Unexpected error from external database driver (12034)
Does anyone know what problem is this? any possible solution to solve this out? Many thanks.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...
