Hi,
We have an internal network of 3 users.
Myself & one other currently have individual copies of the front-end
MS Access forms and via our individual ODBC links we have used the:
File > Get External Data > Link Tables > select ODBC Databases
facility to link to our back-end MySQL Server. On both our machines
the tables appear in the window very quickly and if we hit 'Select
All', all the tables start loading really quickly into our...

Hi,
We a have a small office network of 3 users.
Each user has their own copy of an MS Access Front-End which is linked
via their own local ODBC connection to our server's MySQL database
(Linux Machine)
2 of our 3 users machines can import/link the data back into their
front-ends instantly. The third machines will connect, but it is so
ultra slow that you just cannot import all the tables and use the

Hello,
I am converting an Access database on our network to a sql 2000
backend and keeping access as the front end. The access database has
evolved and been a solution to collect data but now we want to move
the tables over to sql 2000. We have successfully done that but are
now having difficulties with an ODBC connection. Initiall linking the
tables is not an issue and I am able to connect with no problem.

I have a Microsoft Access2002 database that needs to connect to an
Oracle Database. I need to map 2 tables from the Oracle DB to retrieve
the proper data.
I read somewhere (quite a while back) that if you use ADO in Access, you
can connect without the need for ODBC, TNSNAMES.ORA and the Oracle
client installed on the user's desktop.
If I use the Microsoft driver for Oracle, is it possible to connect to

I have a Mysql database hosted on a remote server. Previously, I could
always connect to those databases using the 3.51 ODBC connector and
linking the tables in Access. The benefit of this is that I can view
the data from my desktop, export it to spreadsheets if necessary and

I just started using Access 2003, and I can't link a SQL Server table. I
right-click on the database window; select Link Tables; and select ODBC
Databases from the Files of Type dropdown. As soon as I select ODBC
