Forms, reports, queries, etc. missing in database window

Max
I am editting a database created in access 2003 by another programmer.
This person has left the company for which the database was created and
no documentation. So that I could work on this database at home, I
have converted this db to 2000 which is the version I have i have on my
computer.

The problem is that none of the forms, reports, queries are visible in
the database window. The ones that have code could be accessed by
going to the vba editor and viewing the object. However none of the
other objects are visible. Now i know they are in the project
somewhere because I can open the reports, etc while running the
program. however I cannot edit them because they are not in the db
window. furthermore some tables and queries seem to be hidden.

Now even before I converted the db to 2000, this problem was apparent.
I just figured i would be able to figure it out. but i have not been
successful so far.

anyone know how I can find all of the objects in this project and make
them available to edit?

Hi,

Unsure of the exact wording but have you tried going Tools > Options > Show
hidden Objects on the view tab?

This should then show all tables/forms/queries etc.

Hope this helps.

Hi all - I'm wondering if anyone has (or knows of) a tool that will allow me to search through VB code, tables, queries, reports, forms, and other objects, for references to all other types of objects. That's not really that clear, so here's an example: If I have a table named "table_i_would_like_to_delete_but_don't_know_if_any_object_is_using_it",

This is concerning Access 2000 and some pretty incomprehensible behavior OK, I hope someone can explain this to me. After spending some 30 hours developing forms and modules for an Access database (with a lot of help form the folks here), suddenly Access decides to delete all of the forms and modules. I was working on a form to open another form to a specific record. I had just finished the form for a trial and closed it, the typical...

I think I broke something. I am developing a database. I have 13 forms, so when the database window is showing the forms there are two columns with a scroll bar on the bottom. After I open a form to work on it or after I launch the MainMenu form to test the application. When I get back to the list of forms the scroll bar doesn't work. In fact, when I double click on the scroll bar the MainMenu launches. I can unfreeze the pane by...

I am trying to split up and secure a database that we've been using on a network for a few years, following the procedure listed in Q304932 from microsoft. I create a new blank database for the front end, and am able to import tables and link from the backend. Queries come in ok too. When I tried to import Modules, forms, and reports, most of them failed with the error: "File Not Found:...

I have an Access 95 database. This database has run for years and now is giving me a problem. When opened, the switchboard works fine and the database functions. However, when I close the switchboard and try to open a table, query or report, the tabs show up for table, query, report and etc. However, the white box that lists the names of the tables, queries, reports does not appear. A small rectangle appears in the upper left hand corner of...

I've tried to research this problem, and I haven't been able to find any references to it. Probably because I shouldn't be doing it, but it was working, and now it's not. I'm trying to develop a small application to run on our intranet. I have a lot of old knowledge, and not a lot off access to new knowledge, so I'm shooting from the hip and fumbling. I have a small Access database that I'm using as a back end for some ..ASP pages. ...

How can I send queries, reports, and perhaps forms for one database via email to a colleague who also has Access 2003 and the same database as the one I'm using to create these queries and reports? I'm using Access 2002, 2003, Windows XP and Yahoo email. How can I send these queries and reports without sending the entire database each time? Thank you for your assistance! Mark / SF Bay Area

Hi. I have an MDB that I have been working on using Access 2003. The db utilizes A2000 format. There are enough forms to require that when 'Forms' is selected from the list of Objects (in the Database Window) the scroll bar is displayed at the bottom. Here's the problem: If I open up a form and update it (and subsequently save and close the form), when I return to the list of forms the right side of the Database window "freezes". In...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
