I have a procedure that runs when you dbl click in a txt box. It runs the docmd.acCmdHyperLink command. I am trying to find a way to have the "Insert Hyperlink" dialog box default to "Browse For" File and open up the "Link To File" dialog which, in turn, defaults to a specific folder on the user's desktop (the same location as the mdb containing the form/txtbox). I tried using SendKeys ("%F", "MSDS\"), but that didn't work. Any ideas? ...

I'm trying to use Visual Studio's Find/Replace to match VB declarations. This RegEx works fine in Regulator: ^\s*(Public|Friend|Protected|Private)*\s*(Shared|Overrides)*\s*(Sub|Function|Property )+ But when I try it in Visual Studio's find (with regular expressions turned on) it doesn't work. Are there any known problems with VS find or is there something wrong with the above expression? I'm new to them, so the second question...

Is there a way in a deployment project to set the default values for textboxes that will be displayed in a User Interface dialog? Specifically, I want to be able to get a look at the environment and then set the defaults that will be shown when the install dialog comes up. For example, a default directory name would be based upon the Windows user id, so I'd like to set the default, but still allow them to override it using the textbox. ...

I am trying to use the PageSetUpDialog and set some defaults before it shows; PageSetUpDialog1.Document.DefaultPageSettings.Landscape =True PageSetUpDialog1.PrinterSettings.DefaultPageSettings.Landscape = True PageSetUpDialog1.ShowDialog However, the dialog shows the Portrait checked, not the landscape when it shows up. This is also the case when I try to set the default margins. Why does the dialog not show the defaults that I have...

I have a 9,000-line usercontrol. Sometimes when I hit Ctrl-F, it takes a long time before the Find/Replace dialog pops up. And when it appears, it is not very responsive. After some trial and error I think I have found some method to the madness: If the cursor is placed outside any methods or functions (i.e. in the declarations area), there are no problems.

I Want Access FIND&REPLACE to stay in FIND mode. Can I place the (Access FIND&REPLACE Dialog) in a popup/modal dialog form? I need to control this process to prevent the user from pressing keys on the MainForm that will cause the Forms AllowEdit to become True, in-turn putting REPLACE back on! I DONOT want this to happen.

VS2005 In the find/replace dialog if I make a regex like this I can find all of the "New" statements that instantiate a class with "System" in the name: <New>.*<System> But how - in the VS find/replace dialog - can I negate the "System" portion of the search? How do I say: find all lines with "New" that

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
