Hi, folks - I am trying to build a macro that Outputs a query to Excel,
then Auto Starts the Excel doc to show the query results.
I'd like Excel to be the top window when this is done, but my macro
always restores MS Access to the front when it finishes, hiding the new
Excel doc. I've tried ending my macro with "MinimizeAp p", but it simply
minimizes Access... then immediately restores it again, covering Excel.
Is there a way to force MS Access to stay minimized at the end of my
macro, so that the Excel doc remains on top until the user chooses to
select Access again manually?
Thanks in advance for your help! 2 1970

Not sure as this is not something I have done, but could you write a macro
that selected a cell in the workbook, or something similar, that means the
window gets selected and is thus displayed on top?
Why not use Excel to get the data from the database?
See the Excel menu : Data, Import External Data.
Just design a query that gives you the data you want from the database and
then select it for importing.

Hi,
I'm using a little javascript to help my site's design to fit the
visitor's entire browser window.
Everything works great apart from one problem.
If a visitor first loads the page and the browser isn't maximised, the
page loads correctly BUT if the visitor then proceeds to maximize the
browser, the page is still set for the minimised browser. This condition
stays until the visitor goes to another section of the site or refreshes the...

First, I thank you Herfried.
I have 3 tabpages in a tabcontrol.
I would like to force the user to stay in the current tabpage until he
doesn't correctly fill some textboxes.
I know how to prevent bad entries but if I click onto another tabpage, I can
leave the current tabpage.
I try to use the select property but it doesn't work.
Any idea ?

I am trying to modify an Access form that allows a user to specify
the information s/he needs from a census-type database.
The form's code builds a SQL statement from the user's request, and
creates from this a record set that is used to populate a new Excel
workbook. The form's code opens the new workbook and writes both a
datasheet and a graph based on the data to it.
The graph appears on the user's screen very briefly and then...

is there anyway to force an event, like mouseover? I have a page that
loads, and due to some complex js code (not mine) it fails to write
labels to tabs until the user does a mouseover on the tabs. the page
load event happens beforre the tabs are loaded. Once the user
mouseovers the tabs, the labels of the tabs appear, and stay there. it
is irritating. i would like to force a mouseover so the tab names
appear.
thanks

When minimizing Visual Basic application, working memory is greatly reduced
from about 20 MB to only about 2 MB. However I want the application to
start as minimized, and most of the time it will remain minimized, never
being brought to normal or maximized view and consequently then minimized.
However when started minimized the working memory stays at 20 MB until the
app is restored to normal/maximized and then minimized.
How do I get...

Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
