It's not a simple task. Since you are trying to access another
application window, you'll need to know either it's name (actual text
in title bar) or it's hwnd. You'll then need to involve APIs to
determine the window state. If one db opens the other, you may be able
to pass that info between them, but if they are unrelated it's more
difficult.

Is there a way I can prevent the browser window from being closed? I'd like to make sure the browser window only closes programatically (I want to make sure the user enters data before moving on). Another possible solution would be to re-open the window when it's closed. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

However, there is a image in the popup window and an alert(document.images.length) in the popup html file shows 1.

Ok, here's a strange one... I'm using a lot of Followhyperlink code in my MS Access2000 application to launch various websites. All my forms are popup, so they run outside the MS Access window which I keep shrunk. When a user launches a website through the Followhyperlink, the website opens fine. If the user closes the window, Access returns back in the state it was in before running the followhyperlink code. But, it the user hits the...

My company just upgraded from Access 97 to Access 2003 today and we are having some issues in a database that generates a Word document from information selected in a form. Here is the code we were using without issue previous to the switch: 'Start Word and create a new doc from the template Set objWord = CreateObject("Word.Basic") objWord.AppMaximize "Microsoft Word", 1 objWord.FileNew Template:=StrTemplPath & "letter.dot"

Hello, I've been reading that ASP.NET serialises (ie. processes one at a time) HTTP requests if two simultaneous requests need to access the same session state. It also makes note that ASP.NET tries to reacquire a lock on the session state every 1/2 second until the timeout is reached, and then it will forcibly release the previous users lock and take the lock for itself. What is this timeout figure?

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
