Open Access Maximized

tod
Mine is just a pet peeve. But ohhhh what a peeve it is.

Any time I open Access, it opens to half a window. I have to maximize
the application window, then also have to maximize the database
window. Is there a registry setting or other trick that will have
everything open maximized?

IIRC it opens in the same state it was closed using the x in the top
right, DoCmd.Quit, et al don't set this.

Also the window state can be set in the shortcut that starts it,
whether Access will respond to this will remain an excercise for the
reader (IOW I can't be bothered to test ATM).

As for database window, create an AutoExec Macro, put "Maximize"
command in it.

Tod,
All you have to do is create a Macro that has the maximize function in
it and name it AutoExec. This macro will then run anytime Access is
open.

I have a command button on a continuous subform and I want the user to click it to open a small popup form that opens in the position of the mouse (which is the same as the position of the command button on each record of the continuous subform.) I'm hoping someone can tell me how to do this. Thanks, lq

Hi, I have some very specific needs, and I am not able to find a nice solution. What I need is: - when the user makes a choice in the Menu, the Form of his choice must open, but: - this Form must open Maximized - and the user shouldn't be able to see the 'Main application' until he closed this Form!

Hello, I have a main form that is maximized when my application loads; this main form contains links to all other forms. I've had to specify the Popup property of these other forms, so that they are not maximized when they load. Unfortunately, this seems to have had the consequence of removing them from the Windows taskbar, which makes...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
