Hello,
One form in my application is the MAIN form. It is set up as "startup"
form. However, I need to do the following:
(1) When I double click MDE file to launch my project, the MAIN form
should open as maximized.
(2) When clicking a button on any FORM-A launches FORM-B, FORM-B
should also open as maximized. (i would like all forms to be always
opened as MAXIMIZED).
(3) When any form opens, it should completely "cover the screen". I
mean, I dont want any traditional menu bars to appear on the top of
form's screen.
(4) Certain "forms" in my application are purely informational in
nature. They are more of a help screen rather than a form. I dont want
record navigation buttons to appear on the bottom left corner of such
forms.
Thanks. 1 4852
> (1) When I double click MDE file to launch my project, the MAIN form should open as maximized.
Tools -> Startup
Under Display Form/Page enter the form name
(2) When clicking a button on any FORM-A launches FORM-B, FORM-B should also open as maximized. (i would like all forms to be always opened as MAXIMIZED).
For any form you wish to maximize on open, in the OnOpen event
property insert this code:
DoCmd.Maximize
(3) When any form opens, it should completely "cover the screen". I mean, I dont want any traditional menu bars to appear on the top of form's screen.
Research the menu options in the Tools -> Starup dialog. You will not
be able to get rid of Access entirely, though.
(4) Certain "forms" in my application are purely informational in nature. They are more of a help screen rather than a form. I dont want record navigation buttons to appear on the bottom left corner of such forms.
In the Form Properties pages, look at the Navigation Button property.
Also research "Pop-Up" and "Modal" for more ideas. This thread has been closed and replies have been disabled. Please start a new discussion. Similar topics |

I am trying to create a popup page (to act as a menu) from a parent
page. When the parent page (index.jsp) calls my popup function (see
below) it will properly open the correct size browser window only if
the browser that index.jsp is opened in is NOT maximized. If index.jsp
is maximized and then I click on the test link that fires off the
openMain function, the browser that is opened for the popup is also
maximized.

I have a command button on a continuous subform and I want the user to
click it to open a small popup form that opens in the position of the
mouse (which is the same as the position of the command button on each
record of the continuous subform.)
I'm hoping someone can tell me how to do this.
Thanks,

Hi,
I have some very specific needs, and I am not able to find a nice solution.
What I need is:
- when the user makes a choice in the Menu, the Form of his choice must
open, but:
- this Form must open Maximized
- and the user shouldn't be able to see the 'Main application' until he
closed this Form!

Hi again,
would appreciate any assistance with getting forms to view at the correct size. (Win XP Pro SP2, MS Access 2003)
I have a tabbed form that I open in Maximized view and that's the way I want it to.
I also have another form that I do not wish to have open Maximized, yet every time that other form opens it is in maximized view.
How can I make it so that it will open at the size I created it rather than maximized please?

Hello,
I have a main form that is maximized when my application loads; this
main form contains links to all other forms. I've had to specify the
Popup property of these other forms, so that they are not maximized
when they load. Unfortunately, this seems to have had the consequence
of removing them from the Windows taskbar, which makes navigating
between open forms more difficult.
How would you developers deal with navigation between...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
