Can Grow problem with Access 2000 report

I've got a TextBox in a page header that I'm using to print a variable
report header field that reflects the parameters selected for the
report. I'm using a TextBox rather than a Label so that I can set Can
Grow and Can Shrink parameters to cater for multiple lines.

The problem I'm having is that when the Text Box grows, the page
header section doesn't. The column headers under the header field get
cut off.

Any suggestions?

Hi Richard,

Could you use the Report header section instead of the Page header section?
The Report header
has Can Grow, Can Shrink properties.

Create a group header (group over the entire report on a numeric expression
like =1) and set the RepeatSection to yes. This will put the group header at
the top of every page.

Looks like I'm going to have to split the header into Report Header
and Page Header sections. It means I can't repeat the variable header
on every page. Ah well ...

I have a field in a report which is filled by a function. This is because I want the values displayed in a particular way. The field is filled with: strVal = Format(ValLow, "$#,###") & " / " & Format(ValHi, "$#,###") The difficulty lies when the concatenated string is too long to fit on one line and needs to therefore fit on two lines. The detail section is CanGrow and CanShrink, every field in the secton is CanGrow and CanShrink. ...

Hi all, I found that the default "can grow" in Crystal Reports 10 is different from the one in Crystal Report 9. In version 9, when "can grow" is disable, the words in the field are chopped off and doesn't not warp around to the next line. In version 10, when "can grow" is disable ,the text would overlap the field next to it if the text is too long, to make it field behave the

Hi everyone, basically my problem is this: I am using an Access 2000 format. And--I have four subforms in my main form. (Purpose of this is to track projects.) So in my main form I enter the project name, one primary point person for it (1:N list from a separate table), other details, and a manually entered tracking number, which is the primary key. Now, I also need to put down the legal entities, business managers, financial...

Hi everyone, I have installed Stephan Leban's code to create a text box with a justified text in Access Report. This worked perfectly well. However, I need your help with regards to 2 problems: 1- the new text box (which has the justified text) does not allow me to make it grow and shrink to suit my text. 2- also the box doesn't read Arabic text. It shows the letter as question marks. I am using Access 2002, on a Windows XP. I would be...

Hi, I am using Access 2003. I have set up an invoice in a report. I have set up the name and address as text boxes in the Page Header which I've made as small as possible then set the Can Grow property to Yes. This works fine. Below that, there is the column headers for the sales lines which appear in the Detail section.

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
