Problems with can grow fields on data report - vb6

Body:

Hi Everyone,

I have a problem with can grow fields on the data report.
I have some fields aligned in a line which are "Can grow" enabled
( their "can grow" property is set
to true).
When one of the fields grows vertically all the other fields stay the
same length.
This looks ugly on my data report (I want to show the border bewteen
the lines).
How can i cause a group of fields to grow together if one of them
grows?
How can i cause the other "can grow" fields to grow?

Thanks,
Ron

Please do not post the same question in multiple groups. You waste the time
of the volunteers who answer, and the answers you receive are fragmented.

(If you must, post to several groups at once so at least it is a single
thread.)

I'm trying to get a report that will have something like the below layout: Item # Item Description Quantity Unit $ Total $ ~~~~~~~~~~ The Item Description field is set to "can grow = Yes" so that if the description is long it will wrap to another line.

Hello, I have a report that contains a memo field that can contain quite a bit of information. There are actually a couple of fields like this. When I use can grow / can shrink, the report looks to be a mess. I have visible borders on the fields, which is how the customer wants it, but I would like to have all the fields uniform, so that all the fields are as tall as the tallest field. I.e. if the memo field expands the height of...

Crystal Reports product version 9.2.3.611 Developement Environment is VB.NET 2003 I have created a report that has several comment fields and a subreport. The comment fields are all set to CanGrow and the subreport grows just fine. When the content of the comment fields or the subreport is sufficient the report will grow to more than one page. Unfortunatly when the report is printed it will not print multiple pages. I only get the first...

Hi all, I found that the default "can grow" in Crystal Reports 10 is different from the one in Crystal Report 9. In version 9, when "can grow" is disable, the words in the field are chopped off and doesn't not warp around to the next line. In version 10, when "can grow" is disable ,the text would overlap the field next to it if the text is too long, to make it field behave the

Hi, I have a report that has fields that grow/shrink. These reports each have an image as a background. For records that cause the boxes to shrink / grow I get a second page that only has the image background. I don't, however, get the section margins are wider than the report margins.... I'm dealing with 8.5x11 printouts, and the printers I have available

I'm having problems with Reports and I'm seeking some help, or advice on how to solve this problem. Any help will be much appriciated! It’s hard to explain but I will try to do my best: In my Database I have about 6 to 7 reports that show me all the data from different tables. When I open any Report in 'Print Preview' Mode everything looks fine and the Reports open just fine. But once in a while, for some strange reason and I don't know why,...

I'm currently developing an MS Access Data Project (.adp) in MS Access 2002. One of the reports within the DB uses data that is Dynamic and cannot be stored on the SQL Server. To resolve this, I have created an ADODB.Recordset in the reports OPEN event, built the necessary records inside of it, and then bound the report to this newly created recordset. Here's the rub:

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
