Tools for access similar to Red Gate SQL Compare, SQL DataCompare and SQL Packager

Is their any tools for MS Access similar to SQL Compare, SQL
DataCompare and SQL Packager?

There are a number of third-party tools for Access. One prolific source is
FMS, Inc. (http://www.fmsinc.com). But there are fewer SQL tools than for
other databases which rely more heavily on writing SQL from scratch. Access
provides the very handy, and very capable, QueryBuilder for point and click
creation of queries -- that is where most Access users begin (at least,
though many never even modify the SQL that results, they just use it).

I have no idea what these tools too. However judging from their titles these allow
you to compare databases to see what's different between them. If so there are links
to several at my website.

See the following page for a list of utilities to compare Access databases

I've been testing a variety of database schema migration tools. Our company purchased Embarcadero Change Manager a while ago but we've been less than satisfied with the results. We are looking for a tool that can compare a source/developer database with a target/client database and then make the necessary changes. The tool will need to update stored procedures, tables, indexes, constraints, etc. The tool will also need to make the...

Hello, I have an application that I have been deploying with the Office 2002 / XP Developers Edition Package and Deployment wizard. The package that it creates is 180 MB in size. I would like to use a third party packaging / setup script instead to reduce the size of the package. I spoke with someone in passing once that said he was able to reduce his package to about a third of it's size by using another program to package it, but I...

Using Access 2003 front-end with SQL Server 2005 backend. I had used an installation packager in Office 2000 Enterprise, which allows one to create an installation package for Access applications that can be installed on systems without Microsoft Access. New we have only Office 2003 Professional, which does not have this facility.

I'm having an absolute nightmare with regular diff tools which is making it really hard to manage changes etc in CVS. Tools such as WinMerge and ViewCVS really have really poor matching results which is making it difficult to rollback, compare changes and don't even get me starting on merging branches. The last one went so badly I basically reapplied every bug fix manually to the development branch and it took hours. Does anyone know...

I (finally) upgraded to A2007 from A 97 and downloaded the runtime & developer extensions. My first impression is tentatively positive. There are several new features (that Albert Kallal lists in another post in this group) that might make it worth the upgrade. My A97 app converted without any major problems. However I can see I have a bit of a learning curve ahead. I always deployed my A97 apps with the runtime included. All my custom...

You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
