programmer wanted for a Point-Of-Sale software with access-database

Hi,

We are from Belgium and are looking for someone who could write us a
point-of-sale (POS) software for a DVD-film shop.

I like it to be in MS-Access with some VBA or just VB.

The barcodes will be read through the keyboard interface, so there
want be work to do on serial scanners.

1) Inventary: reading and comparing the present stock just with one
input field
This way we can insert a 20 meters serial cable between PC and
BC-reader, read in the stock without using the keyboard. If the read
is a 13 digits number it means +1 piece in stock. Otherwise it is an
instruction like cancel last read, stock minus or last product amount.
example:
-reading "7321933235 912" product "A" found and added 1 in stock
-reading "2"
-reading "5"
-reading "4687984546 578" next product read -> last product "A" has +25
in stock.

2) Sales: looking up products with barcode or a piece of the title
1 VAT (BTW) 21%
-seperate couting of cash and credit cards.
-posibility to type in name, adres, vat-number and telefoon-number to
enable to print out a numbered invoice on a standard printer.
-ticket also on normal sized printer with a commercial ad read in as a
seperate file(tif, jpg, ...)

3) End of day: overview of sales and recieved payments

and much more later on....

We would pay you for every step that is working in the program. Though
we are only offering around 1000 euro or dollars!

Thank you.

In the course of my research I stumbled upon this article by Alex Russel and Tim Scarfe: http://www.developer-x.com/content/innerhtml/default.html The case is made that innerHTML should never be used. I'm wondering, If I wanted all the content of BODY as a string, how else could I get except through innerHTML?

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
